Update 3/1/2021: The buffet section is opened now but is covered from the public and is serviced by the staff (no self-service). The supermarket is also offer home deliver now via their mobile app and they are currently offer $7.99 off orders of $35 or more.

Update 1/2/2021: The supermarket remains to be open and has taken precautions to make it Covid 19 safe. There are sanitizers as you enter, masks are required when in the store and cashier booths are covered. They stopped the offering coupons a while back and most of the food court section has been closed with the exception of the buffet which is no longer self service. The market continues to be one of my favorite in the area for Asian stables. They replenish their stock often and there are always new items to try

Finally a nice and large Chinese market in North Jersey! They previously opened a location in Jersey City and I was happy to see them open a location closer to me up north. This location has a food court towards the entrance with a decent amount of seats. If you purchase a certain amount of grocery's on any give day, they will provide you with coupons for use at their food court or bakery ($20 in groceries = $1 coupon, more than $60 on a weekday = double coupons). Their seafood market in the back offers a good variety but they're very under staffed. Be sure to get a ticket if you want help in this area. They also provide free frying of any fishes and steaming of live lobsters and crabs purchased there, which is awesome. They staff is also very helpful when you are in need of help locating a product in this vast store. The market is park of strip mall that hap a number of eateries and Home Depot so traffic gets really bad on the weekends and it can be tough finding a close parking...

If I was given a choice, I would give this store a zero rating. Has anyone seen a manager fight with a customer in any store or food market in America? I never saw until in this market! We went to 99 Ranch Market located in Hackensack in NJ. As we were checking out, a cashier told us that if I choose two bags of noodles, I can get it for reduced price. We then showed her that we did get two bags, then a female Chinese manager showed up out of nowhere, intervened and did something on the computer screen. Out of our surprise, she very rudely pointed out on the computer screen that she gave us some money back due to a discount. I told her that it was not us asking for a price adjustment, and it was the cashier who did not know that we already got two bags for a discount price. I told her that she did not have to shout and so rude! I asked her to be nice toward customers but she clapped her hands very hard and responded to us that “this is how I talk”, “the same to you”! I am a Chinese as well and I know that Chinese are not trained to be nice, pleasant and well mannered, especially in the service profession, and they are trained to fight for no reason! As a manager, you somehow are an image of the market. A manager who behaves in such a low level: crude, obnoxious, aggressive manner, and hostile, ready to fight all the time, should have been fired long time ago in any other American store/market and can not be allowed to work in customer service environment! Such a THIRD - RATE person / behavior has formed so bad image among non Chinese people in America. IT IS A SHAME! She is so lucky to work in a Chinese market since most customers are Chinese. I don’t understand how these good for nothing people even come to America and don’t learn anything...

Parking lot is quite dark. For security reasons, your landlord needs to improve this otherwise it's a safety issue that you both might be responsible for, if something happens.

We have been to a couple of the 99 ranch stores now and this is one of the nicest ones. Of course that could be because they just opened which is always a plus! They have several places to eat in here as well as a nice seafood selection where they have several options to prepare your seafood front for you. as we go to many locations to check out different places to eat as well as many supermarkets to find different foods we found this one to have a large selection of Asian delights of course! these Asian delicacies though were very varied from other stores we have been. We have tried a few of the in-store restaurants but not all of them yet but the prices have been decent and the food has been very good. Upon our last visit they were still working on one of the restaurants though and it was not open yet. Parking is quite decent actually considering there's a Home Depot right next-door. We do not have a problem finding parking that was not too far away in the middle of the day . Our recommendation is if you enjoy Asian food or just enjoy finding different foods We definitely recommend going here! We would also suggest going there on an empty stomach and trying out one of their in-store...

Big Asian grocery, temperature read as you go in. Shelves half empty though so that speaks to the supply chain issues overall. Fewer than average people inside. Prices also higher than precovid. So they're trying to survive. At the back of the plaza behind all the traffic from Home Depot. Super long lines, wrapped from the center front all the way back to the meat department and to the dimsum counter by the food court... I stayed in line while my family shopped and then came up to me with still six or seven ppl ahead of me in line. Somewhat better today but still a line to check out. They had some new years deals going, and Coco tea opens inside at 12. Coco closed as of early 2025, and a new shop opened up. They have a bakery and a small food court with hot food, dimsum, BBQ meats and a couple smaller restaurants.

My friend and I drove out to this 99 Ranch last night specifically because we wanted to have the butcher counter grind a pork shoulder for our evening’s dumpling making. Well, the guy behind the counter decided to close up early, which is one thing, but when we tried to ask him a question he pretended he couldn’t hear us, shrugged and waved that he’s busy, kept spraying water at stuff, and closed the window on us. We were impressed with the size and cleanliness of the store compared to what we had back in California, but it is strange the butcher counter closes so early at 7pm and it doesn’t even stay open until then. We arrived at 6:45pm, and even so I probably wouldn’t be writing this if he hadn’t been so rude. The employees at checkout and the boba shop were in contrast very nice and efficient.
