I stopped by the Excelsior II to see what apartments were available for rent. The leasing agent Sherry seemed like she just absolutely did not want to be bothered with me. As soon as I walked into the office she just yells “What are you looking for hun?!” No hello, how are you..no pleasantries or courtesy at all. I told her I was looking for a one bedroom. She immediately says “We don’t have anything!” Didn’t even bother to ask for my moving time frame. She had a very pretentious and condescending tone and demeanor. Everything she said was very short and rushed like she didn’t have the time to speak to me. She kept saying “you look so young, you look so young!” Are young people not supposed to rent apartments (in their building)? Her whole approach with me just made me feel like I didn’t look like someone (as a black man) she wanted living there. I thought the way she handled my visit today was quite rude and unprofessional. I’m surprised that the owners of this “prestigious” building would have someone like that representing them. All I can say...
Read moreJust want to give tenants a head-up that don't use any rough pad to clean the stainless-steel appliances when you move out. My roommates and I just paid for a dishwasher and a refrigerator which is over $2000 in total because the scratches can not be repaired. We have to pay for the new ones. It's sarcastic that we ruined the appliances by cleaning them. Also, the move out sheet doesn't mean anything. On the inspection day, none of us were aware of those scratches. It says new and clean condition on the move out sheet with the signatures of my roommate and the inspection guy. They found out later and deducted $2000+ straight from our security deposit. We went back to confirm those scratches since we didn't see them at all. We tried to argue with the inspection guy that it didn't say anything about the scratches on the move out sheet. He was being very aggressive and said "let's not play the game." Overall, I hope no one would ever go...
Read moreSHERRI is wonderful! We went to view an apartment last week and signed the lease immediately. Sherri made us feel like we were already at home the second we met her.
The building itself is beautiful. Being an executive in construction for 15 years, I was greeted with the stunning original wood floors kept in pristine shape. The apartment was obviously cared for through out the years, and you can tell that maintenance does not cut corners!
We are thrilled to be moving in next month. The process to view the apartment and sign the lease were a breeze. They will do their due diligence with prospective residents, which was very comforting. You can tell the residents love it here as nobody seems to leave!
Again, the highlight of all this was Sherri. Her warmth and welcoming demeanor made the logistics a breeze! I have been working with numerous agents/property managers and none have come close to the level of her...
