The Picco Tavern offers sophisticated Italian-American food for lunch and dinner, as well as drinks and oysters at a bar. There also is an affiliated delicatessen, all on the ground floor of a residential high-rise. I met a friend, who lives in the building next door, for lunch, but we were seated at a table near the bar, not in the restaurant. I had looked at the lunch menu online, and it was extensive, but we were handed a menu with only 8 items labeled "Daily Lunch Alternatives." They were priced from $8 (for soup) to $20 (for the Grilled Jumbo Shrimp Salad), and the Fresh Daily Seafood Creation was labeled MP or market price. Our server was the bartender, who also ran to fetch the food we ordered. My friend ordered the soup of the day (cabbage, I think), and followed with Grilled Salmon Martha's Vineyard Salad ($17). I ordered the Grilled Jumbo Shrimp Salad ($20), and asked for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, a white wine ($9). We enjoyed our food. My friend loved both of his selections. A word about parking. The Picco Tavern doesn't allow you to park your car in the garage under the building, as I did. I was concerned about the steeply sloping driveway and that the valet would hit the lower part of the front bumper going into or driving out of the garage. The valet parking attendant came over during our meal, and asked me for the key to my car. I told him I didn't want anyone driving my car, and he didn't need the key to put a notice under the windshield wiper, telling building security I was eating in the restaurant. I may not return to the restaurant because of this inflexible policy.

Dont waste your time or your money at this place.

Matt the manager (I believe he was the one on duty- older Caucasian man with slick hair about 6ft tall) working on 12/1/23 5pm at the host table has no concern for your well being even if you were hit by car. I was walking past Forte on my way home and one of the valets decided to reverse the car without checking his surrounds. And if I hadn’t hit the trunk and jumped back in time I would have been injured (yes he bumped my leg) I went inside to talk to the manager (Matt I presume) and I explained the situation. He then asked what I wanted, which than I replied, “what can I get?” Not because I wanted anything but because I was so confused as if he was offering me something to shut me up. All I stated was that I wanted to make sure this never happens again in which they replied “nothing”. Then I got more frustrated because it seemed like they were just trying to sweep this situation under the rug, while I was concerned not only for my safety but for others since it seems like they do this pretty often and we have a lot of locals walking past this area to their apartments. Matt then switched his tactic and proceeded to get aggressive towards me and threaten to call the cops on me for “blackmailing and demanding money” when I did no such thing. Never have I mentioned money or a way to receive or demand anything. Apparently the valet drivers are from a different company but if you are working in cooperation with one another for your customers, forte should also be liable for such a scenario since it’s on your property.

I demanded for them to check the cameras so that we can get to the bottom of who’s right or wrong but they also refused that as well.

I did come by here to taste of the food back in Oct. and find it overpriced and underwhelming. Not worth it. And especially if you are going to be treated like trash and have no concern, I wouldn’t waste your time or your money at this place. My question is what would happen if someone actually got injured. Even if it was minor? Pretty sure they will blame shift again and threaten to call the cops on you. Drivers name was either Jake or Jack slim tall male with brown hair around...

I went to dinner here with five other people on a Sunday night and really enjoyed it

One thing I would recommend to this place first off is just let people know this is more luxury dining and a valet that you have to use if you plan to park there. When I showed up they had a sign that said business casual attire required for dinner.

My wife pointed out to me that the restaurant is actually in front of an entrance to a residence behind it that has things like ATMs and a beauty shop and it's all over by the bathrooms but I didn't get a chance to see it and I brought this up because I didn't know where to get money to give the valet but he was really cool and let me tip him via venmo. Nice guy!

Ok! DINNER... drinks and everything were amazing we did sit there for a while because it was a goodbye dinner and they were very patient with us as far as service goes. No complaints about the service at all, except I could tell that because we were maybe the only table there, it felt like we had 3 waiters.

But 2 of the waiters did not seem to understand what we were asking them, like when my wife's friend asked for a small plate and they brought her a to-go bag , or when we kept asking for another setting for a sixth person and they did not seem to understand what we were saying and did not set anything up until we got the one waiter who was our main server.

Now I used to be a busboy and the one thing that I used to do by mistake was accidentally clearing too much of the table off. That happened twice.

Seriously though, it is splitting hairs. It is really a nice place to go and if you're looking for a new apartment I guess you could check that out too...

my family and i came here for my mothers 52nd birthday celebration. we had very high hopes and expectations, as we have heard wonderful reviews and recommendations online and from people we know. upon entering the restaurant, it looked very beautiful and busy on a saturday night at almost 9pm. we had to wait for our whole 10 people party to arrive to be seated. upon sitting down, our server had told us that our party wasn’t supposed to be assigned to him. this clearly showed us disorganization in the scheduling or reservations, even though i had made this reservation almost 2 weeks ago. my sister arrived late and didn’t know where our table was. there was no hostess in the front to help her or greet her. the hostess was a bit rude with how she had finally greeted my sister. our order was taken very abruptly and late because the kitchen closed at 10pm. our server didn’t take our order for drinks til 30 minutes after being sat down. then we were rushed to order our food because of the kitchen closing soon. we didn’t understand why our reservation was accepted so late if the kitchen was closing shortly after. the food took a very long time to come out. the drinks also came out very late. when we received the bill there were many mistakes on the bill for items we never ordered. we never ordered specific appetizers but they were still brought to our table. we told the server about the mistakes and they were changed. the atmosphere was very loud and we weren’t able to have any conversations. the food was not worth the expensive prices we paid for them. overall, this place disappointed us tremendously and...
