Words cannot begin to express the gratitude I feel towards Dr. Morin! After a very botched revision with another surgeon 1.5 years ago, I came to Dr. Morin in hopes he can fix the shapeless nose & uneven nostrils I was left with. Seeing Dr. Morinâs before/ after pictures of both his rhinoplasties & revision rhinoplasties gave me tremendous hope that I was in the right hands. Once I was ready to book my surgery, Vicky helped work with my schedule to find a day that worked best for me.
During my pre-op appointment, Dr. Morin discussed at length what bothered me about my nose and his plan to address it during surgery. Nurse Aubree then came to review all of the pre/post op paperwork. She helped calm my nerves in preparation for surgery. I am truly SO grateful for her! There was so much attention to detail that no other surgeon/ office ever provided â I was given acne pads to help clean my face post op, bromelain/ arnica pills to help with swelling, and many more things that showed me Dr. Morin truly thought of everything.
Before going into surgery, Dr. Morin discussed with me once more what bothered me about my nose and his plans to fix it. The staff at the surgery center he operated at was incredible as well. One thing that truly stuck with me is one of the nurses came up to me and said, âI work with many other plastic surgeons and let me tell you, Dr. Morin is the king of rhinoplasties.â This was amazing to hear minutes before my surgery and truly helped clam any nerves I had. Once I woke up from my surgery, I was expecting the first week to be awful. Since I had undergone a revision with another surgeon recently, I was expecting the same amount of bruising and discomfort all week. To my surprise, I felt really good â I didnât have a single bruise and had very minimal bleeding post op. It truly was such an easy week and I hope anyone nervous for surgery can be comforted knowing that Dr. Morin and his team truly prep you with everything they can to make the week of surgery go smoothly.
When I got my cast off in a week, I was mentally preparing to have an extremely swollen nose (similar to the one I had when my cast was removed after my other surgery as seen in the below image). To my amazement, I had very minimal swelling. I had to fight back tears when I looked at myself in the mirror for the first time â I finally was able to recognize myself again. The shapeless nose & uneven nostrils I was left with was addressed and Dr. Morin was able to create a beautiful nose that perfectly fit my face.
Iâm currently 1 month post op and while I am still swollen, I wanted to write this review and share my experience/ pictures as soon as possible in hopes whoever is considering Dr. Morin knows how talented he is. Dr. Morin mentioned many times during our consult he wonât be able to create a perfect nose for me, but heâs wrong in this 1 instance â itâs perfect for me! Not only did I regain my confidence back, but I no longer have this insecurity. Iâm excited for the swelling to continue to decrease over time. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Dr. Morin, for making me feel beautiful again!
Dr. Morinâs results truly speak for themselves. Iâm hopeful that no one else makes the mistake I did of choosing the wrong surgeon prior to coming to Dr. Morin. Save yourself the stress, time & money and make the right decision the first time around by going with Dr. Morin for your rhinoplasty - youâll thank yourself that you did.
If anyone reading this review wants to contact me for additional information, please feel free to do so. I truly donât have enough positive words to say about Dr. Morin & his staff. I never thought a surgery could have such an impact on my life, but having gone from being botched & depressed to now feeling beautiful & confident again, I am EXTREMELY thankful for Dr. Morin. I truly hope this review helps just one person going through research to see that Dr. Morin is the...
Read moreDr. Morin is one of the most excellent doctors I have ever seen and my experience here is better than my best expectation.
I learnt of him from accidentally watching his videos on Youtube sharing his opinions about modern plastic surgeries and explaining how professionals implement Genioplasty (Chin Surgery). My intuition told me that he potentially was the doctor I was looking for because we share very similar view that human body tissue works better than implants in most situations. I received some medical trainings and helped in the hospital before. These experiences make me realize that if a doctor are confident in avoiding implants in most of his surgeries, in general, he also has super excellent surgical skills and updates his knowledge frequently through attending various colloquia and implementing these skills on his patients. Therefore, I made an appointment with him one year ago to discuss how to improve my appearance.
During the first appointment, he was very frank and did not recommend any unnecessary procedures. What he suggested were also what I wanted. Bad doctors usually persuade their clients to receive as many plastic procedures as possible to make more money and reliable doctors do not do this because any unnecessary surgeries can bring our body extra risks. Also, he is a very conservative surgeon and we all believe that looking naturally works best. I am an asian girl, however, I donât want to have a common asian pretty plastic face (Double eyelid+Pointed chin+Big forehead+Plump cheeks+Sexy lips+âŚ) or a western face. Dr. Morin did a super beautiful surgery and I still look like myself. My sister and friends did not realize that I received any external treatments (surgeries or other procedures), however, they feel that I look much better somehow. (At least we believe reading and sleeping also make a girl beautiful)
Before the surgery (Genioplasty+Rhinoplasty), my doctor providing my paperwork of surgery clearance told me that these surgeries can be very painful and my appearance are already better than most of people. However, my experience is that these procedures do not hurt at all and 99.99% pain comes from general anesthesia ďźpainful throats which has nothing to do with Dr. Morin; Probably he can collaborate with a more gentle anesthetist) Based on my knowledge, there are few nerves within the bone and most of nerves are on the periosteum, which may explain why I did not feel any pain from the surgery itself. My bruising (only small areas, each less than 0.9cm x 0.5cm) disappeared within two weeks (usually, it takes 2-4 weeks for them to disappear based on my textbooks) and the expected swelling also disappeared much faster than what I learned from the textbooks. My healthy lifestyle helps a little and Dr. Morinâs skills contribute the most (I feel the hemostasis must be excellent!)
I trust this doctor (responsible, friendly, super professional and knowledgable) and love to share my experience here with other people who want to improve their appearance and pursue natural beauty. I also want to show my gratitude to his team members:
Vanessa (a pretty and professional nurse): she took care of me after the surgery, super professional, super patient and nice. I guess she also has good cooking skills. I like her a lot! Karla: super nice, responsive and helpful. I was very impressed by her advice before the surgery and I can tell that she is also super considerate. I also like her a lot! Kacey: very responsible and helps me a lot making various appointments. She is very good! BTW, I feel these girls are smart girls. Talking with them is very helpful.
To sum up, I highly recommend Dr. Morin...
Read moreI am not one to leave negative reviews, nor do I find it easy to do so. I do think Dr Morin is a very kind surgeon. However, I feel I have to share my experience as if I can prevent even just one person from suffering the same fate as me, I can feel better about my own outcome.
I went to Dr. Morin in March 2021 for a septorhinoplasty consult. I was explained that due to my deviated septum being covered by insurance, the operation could not take place in the surgical center but instead in Hackensack hospital. I was fine with this. I was told I would hear back shortly with a surgery date and price.
Fast forward a few months later of my consistent calling, they said I was booked for surgery at Hackensack hospital august 16, 2021 and would have my pre operative consult 2 weeks before .
Flash forward to 2 weeks before my expected surgery date, I arrived only to be told that there was an error on their calendar and there was no time for me to be seen on this day. Instead, I could come back next week.
A few days later I received a call from the office saying that hackensack hospital was no longer allowing elective surgeries to occur due to covid 19, so they had to cancel my surgery date. They were able to squeeze me in on the 17 of august and still have the septum piece covered by insurance, so I was fine with this.
I later learned that Dr Morin doesnât even perform surgeries on Mondayâs, the day my surgery had been booked for. If I had known this pre-operatively, I would have immediately cancelled surgery. It is clear there was something secretive going on.
The bill for my septorhinoplasty was around 27,000, with my insurance covering 10,000. The surgical center actually tried to get another 10,000 from my insurance company, who declined.
Now to the really bad part. I made it very clear I wanted a very natural (in relation to my old nose) rhinoplasty, with just my bump slightly refined and tip defined. I made it very clear I did not want a lifted tip by any means .
I am now almost 6 months post op. Every day for me is more and more painful due to the result of my rhinoplasty. My bridge was completely over scooped, causing my nose to blend in from a frontal view and appear wider. My nostrils were left extremely uneven and my tip over lifted and bulbous. I have thicker skin that takes longer to heal, and Dr Morin says he does not do steroid injections for swelling. Every rhinoplasty surgeon I have called when booking my revision has said that this is very strange, and all their offices offer this. Dr Morin wonât acknowledge that my nose was not done in extent to what we had discussed , and instead tells me it looks great and to wait a year.
My intention of leaving this review is to in no way to have any malicious intent. I truly just wanted to share my experience. It is very hard for me to live a normal life with my rhinoplasty result, and I hope it can be corrected by another surgeon at the...
