If I could give 0 stars I would. After spending a few hundred dollars for the learn to skate group lessons, we decided to try private lessons. The group lessons were too crowded, always ran 15 mins late, and no one paid attention to the kids skating. We thought private would be better. After going to the rink for our private lesson, we were told we couldn't take our private lesson because we weren't allowed to rent skates. We didn't have skates because they didn't receive the skates we ordered from THEM yet. They director literally told us to go home, we can't skate with their rentals. Was it worth not making money from the private lesson to not rent us skates (which they had available) despite their skate shop not receiving our personal skate order? The director was rude, unaccomidating and clearly bad at business decisions. Don't waste your money. The group lessons are pure chaos and worthless. Orders from the skate shop don't come in. And the people in charge don't care about their customers. I feel bad for our private lesson teacher who wasted her time slot and received no money because her director wants to flex his fake power to feel in charge. Stay away from here. I promise you, you don't want to pay to be...
Read moreThis was the worst experience we have ever had. We are extremely disappointed and upset.
Our son, who is now wearing size 13 shoes after growing over the past year, started his first class today wearing his old size 11 skates purchased from your store a year ago. After waiting a long time with no greeting, the long haired male staff simply removed one insole and said they were “good to go.”
We asked our son to try them again, and he said they were too tight and hurting his feet. Despite this, the staff refused to help us with a proper fitting. There was no one else in the store by the time it was our turn, as we had waited for them to finish helping everyone else.
We then asked if we could at least have the skates sharpened, since they had never been sharpened since purchase. He refused again, saying he was too busy, and told us to go elsewhere.
This all happened in front of our 5-year-old, who loves skating. It felt hostile, dismissive, and completely unnecessary. We live in the city, and arranging time with kids to come here is not easy. We left feeling upset and unwelcome, and our child was left disappointed...
Read moreLittle kid’s new ice skate sharpening costs $25, my one-time used ccm figure skate with some rust costs $25, and when I received them back, my barely used skate still had rust left. The person blamed my skate when I kindly asked to finish the leftover rust, in other words, refused to do the work. I paid $50 for a few minutes sharpening. My third pair which was sharpen a few years ago and never used it after sharpening was told “ it can be sharpened for $12”. I didn’t sharpen this pair because it was not necessary and was in good shape. I don’t know if the man had a bad day or had his business affected by Covid, so I tried not to fight and came home saying thank you. But he certainly ruined my day with his rude attitude and bad jobs, plus doubled price compared to other places where I called while I was waiting in the car to pick up the skates. He did less than 20 minutes for two pairs, probably 5-10 minutes jobs to sharpen per one pair which I experienced same to other places. I didn’t ask the price before going so I greatly regretted that I went...
