This is my rating based on only one experience, an outdoor Shakespearean play. It was a cute little park, and I was happy that there was bathroom facilities indoors, in the performing arts center. My gripe is that it was an outdoor performance using no electronics, and for people who were not sitting right in front of the acting area, it was difficult to hear with all the outside noises. Where I was sitting, on the side on a bench of this very small park, I was able to hear the announcer perfectly, but the actors did not project their voices sufficiently for a small outdoor venue with traffic, both foot and car, going by. Read moreI think the HPAC makes a perfect intimate setting for entertainment. There's easy parking in the 5 level garage across the street. The old Masonic Temple has been beautifully renovated- I was a little confused where to enter at first visit bc the gothic front doors are wood with no windows... but they fit the cool vibe of this place and I wouldn't change a thing! We saw a comedy show, acoustics for music are wonderful. Theatre is upstairs, downstairs had a nice exhibit of students art. If you are looking for a small, peaceful atmosphere to have a real pleasant theater experience, this place is it.
