Café Baires — Restaurant in Hackensack

Can there be such a thing as a perfect cafe? No- as people we will always find something to quibble about but cafe Baires is as close as it can get. The baked goods? Amazing, mouth watering Argentinian treats that are both sweet and savory; coffee drinks the range from the super traditional coffees to specialty drinks; doggie treats and water bowls for your 4 legged best friend; crayons for the kids… the space isn’t huge but in the space they have, the overall atmosphere is inviting and gently says “hey if you can, stay awhile but if you can’t I hope you have a great day.” That’s not to mention the service is impeccable and you really feel like the owner/ management really does care to showcase Buenos Aires in a chic cafe....

This cafe is such a gem opening up on the main street area of hackensack. The atmosphere is so nice, and the service is quick and reliable. I noticed that they are constantly cleaning and maintaining the cafe which I really appreciate and its not super loud in here even when filled with people. I came here to study and I really enjoyed my time here. Also the matcha is really good which is hard to come by with most places but Cafe Baires has the perfect combo for their strawberry matcha where every flavor is super balanced. The empanadas were also really nice and warmed up as well as the focaccia, which wasn't my absolute favorite but only because I wish there were more tomatoes on it and less onions (but thats completely...

We absolutely love Cafe Baires!!! The matcha latte is a must-try, perfectly balanced, and so refreshing. Their fresh pastries are simply divine, and the savory empanadas are a delicious treat that never disappoints. I can't get enough of their milanesa sandwich—it's a flavor explosion that keeps me coming back for more! The atmosphere is so inviting; it's the kind of place where you just want to relax and soak it all in. Plus, being pet-friendly is a huge bonus for us!
