Personal Touch Catering Experience — Attraction in Hackensack

Personal Touch handled the catering for the Saint Peter's Prep 150th Gala at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ in April 2022. What I can say is that it was the best experience with a caterer in my over 15 years of planning events. Ashley and Nick were professional, friendly, offered great suggestions and made the planning process seamless. Ashley also assisted with all the rentals, picking décor, and ensuring that the theme of the event was consistent throughout all aspects. The day of the event could not have been more perfect. The detailed and beautiful presentation of stations during cocktail hour and the delicious passed hors d'oeuvres made for a spectacular start of the event. But this was only the beginning of what would turn out to be one of the best catered galas at Prep. The dinner portion was top of the line with a perfect duet to ensure guests had the best of both worlds. The staff was efficient, courteous and there was one waiter per table which led to personalized attention. The event had 700 guests, and each plate came out hot and in a timely fashion. Lastly, the desert was amazing, particularly because we did passed desserts which allowed guests to dance, party, and grab a drink at the bar all while trying out the different dessert options. Ashley and Nick were always available on email, text or zoom and provided exceptional service the day of the event. The guests are still raving about how great the food and catering staff were. My daughter and son-in-law were engaged January of 2021 with a wedding date in December of 2022. Some time around July or August they decided they wanted something smaller, something more intimate and something sooner ….as in October of 2021. The groom’s mom, Donna and I, quickly sprung into action. Personal Touch came highly recommended and we were thrilled when they told us they were available.

The wedding was at the groom’s family home so we needed to not only serve the meal but create the outdoor space and set the mood for a romantic evening. AND PERSONAL TOUCH DELIVERED ON ALL FRONTS.

We worked directly with Ashley and Nick on a daily basis. They were kind, patient, helpful and calming at every step of the way. Our endless questions were promptly answered and their ENTIRE team is simply fantastic, on point with everything and super friendly.

The food is top tier, delicious and the choices are endless. Everyone is still raving about the food…. All of it!!! Their facility is impeccably clean and well organized.

Their preferred vendors were also spot on including flowers, tent rental, china, flatware, hair and makeup. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and super professional. When we entered the event space while walking our children down the aisle, Donna and I were overwhelmed about how magical everything looked. It was absolutely perfect.

Their advice, guidance and suggestions made the wedding a true success.
