Located in South Hackensack, my partner and I have been to this hidden gem numerous times for takeout. The size of the building at “I Gemelli" (The Twins) will fool you and be easily missed if you drive by too fast. The parking is rather limited, so it's a good idea to try to make early reservations, which we did for dinner as first-timers tonight, thanks to our friend, Tracy. Upon entering this cozy family-owned, family-run establishment with 16 tables, we were greeted by the owners, Luigi and Severio, who felt that the two of them very much enjoyed being in the restaurant business and were promptly seated. The menu is extensive, with a wonderful selection of meat, seafood, and pasta, as are the specials. As an appetizer, we decided on one of tonight’s specials—the zucchini flowers. As our main meal, we opted for Pollo Alla Parmigiana with a side of spaghetti and Scallopine di Vitello Piccata with Broccoli and Mashed Potatoes. We even saved some room for desserts and got the pistachio cake and key lime pie. Complimentary bread served hot started our meal, followed by a nice house salad. The food is homemade, created with love, flavorful, and delicious. The staff is attentive and works collaboratively to keep things flowing seamlessly. The prices are high, but with the nice portions and the service they provide, it seems worth it. The fact that it is BYOB is simply a plus! We can recommend this place.

I took a trip back to my grandma Colucio’s diner table tonight! ( my sweet little grandma from Italy). I had a meal that she would have been proud of! We start off with HOT Italian bread that had a perfect crust. We had some wonderful appetizers. The calamari was light and perfectly done and the fried zucchini flowers were delicious. My veal parmigiana was done perfectly and very tender. The side of spaghetti had a good red sauce. The ravioli is a big hit. Everyone in our party loved their meal. But save room… the deserts are big and delicious!!! Service was top notch and the owner was very attentive and friendly! My best advice is to get to this hidden gem and enjoy your way through the menu!!! NOTHING is bad! ( no i mean it Go now!)

Upscale Italian cuisine with very attentive service. You can tell they want you to return. The food is delicious (well, what we had anyway) and the service is excellent. Get there early if you go on a Saturday as it gets very busy by 6pm. The parking situation is a little tricky, however. They have a parking lot that is a bit of a squeeze. It is best to back in to a spot (if you can find one). You'll see what I mean if you go. I would gladly return here (especially if someone else is paying as the prices are a little high, but worth it).

Excellent restaurant! I highly-recommend! (And, I am VERY picky!) In terms of aesthetics, you are not going to be blown away, however, the wait staff is incredibly gracious and service-oriented. They are attentive and work collaboratively to keep things flowing seamlessly.

Based on my extensive experience dining out all over the world, I have come to the conclusion that if the bread isn't good, the rest of the meal won't be up to par. I was not let down. The bread was delicious; we had three orders of their bread. It was also warmed, which I always prefer, and the olive oil they serve is excellent. It had a light taste with no after taste, like cheap olive oil tends to.

I had the baked clams to start and my husband had the caprese salad. The baked clams were much larger than I ever expected. The light buttery sauce with parsley and lemon was amazing. I even dipped their bread in it (which I never do). The caprese salad was enjoyed by both my husband and daughter; I was too busy with the clams.

For our mains, my husband had the ravioli in the pink sauce, and I had linguini and clams (white clam sauce). I must say, I am fairly world traveled and I believe that was the best linguini and clams I've ever had. I'm from Brooklyn (so we are "spoiled" when it comes to Italian and Sicilian food, but this was incredible. I absolutely devoured the dish. It was perfectly seasoned and they carmelized the garlic and it was amazing. The ravioli and sauce was delicious and the quality of the ravioli was fabulous. You cannot go wrong with this restaurant. It is great for any occasion and I wish I lived in the area; I could have that linguini and clams every day! Thank you for the incredible, memorable and tasty dining...

I was there with my family for dinner. They overcharged us , and didn't even care to inquire about it. We were brushed off and they hung up the phone. We decided to call them afterwards so we do not cause a scene in public.

Also , my nephew ordered chicken fingers and French fries. One chicken was COMPLETELY RAW!

The prices on our bill and the menu had a BIG difference. They completely ROBBED us. There was no specials menu with prices or anything. We ordered normal pasta dishes with seafood, or chicken. And also had like 2 fish dishes. Their most expensive item on the menu is $29. I am DISAPPOINTED and I feel LIED to and also ROBBED.

Keep in mind this restaurant is BYOB and we had no alcohol from them. How can the bill be $1200??!! Yes we had 11 adults but like I said we had regular pasta dishes and some fish. Dessert and coffee. I understand paying but my point is that the prices on my bill were DOUBLE. Please someone give me some advice , I need a resolution , at least my $500 back. They need a consequence!

Also one person in my family had 1 decaf coffee. He charged us for 5.

We got ROBBED !!! They're stealing money!! This isn't little money, this is a lot. You can look at my bill and you will see what I mean!!! I have...
