The food was great. I am leaving a bad review because when I got home and checked my email I seen that the waitress decided to give herself her own tip. you didn’t think I would notice? I have the digital and hard copy receipt… very ignorant. Very bad decision. I don’t tip. Anyone. This is my right. If you have to stoop to a level of committing a crime and potentially ruining your place of business, then you probably need a different place in life to earn your paper. This is completely dishonest and unprofessional. I will be taking legal action. I will be back to write a review following up once we hear back. EDIT: The owner contacted me back and asked what happened. I explained that his employee gave herself a tip. The owner then had the nerve to ask if I was sure I didn’t tip… “yes sir, I am sure.” I don’t tip! That is my right! Then the owner asks why I didn’t tip… Hahaha!!! How unprofessional. He did return my stolen money… But I believe he only did that to keep himself from legal issues. Dear owner, Pay your people more if you believe the community should be paying their wages, or stealing money to pay their bills. This place shouldn’t even be in business. Read moreI ordered two things today: the okonomiyaki dumplings, and the black garlic Ramen with a side of hot oil.
First, the dumplings: Topped with kewpie mayo, that dark takoyaki sauce and bonito flakes --- it was delicious; however, I did ask the server to bring it out before the Ramen, and she agreed. However, it came out afterwards.
The Black Garlic Ramen was delicious. I had requested for the hot oil to be on the side, but I had seen that they placed it in my Ramen already. The Ramen was delicious, but that black garlic oil definitely had a very strong black pepper taste instead of a garlic taste.
Also my soft boiled egg, for whatever reason was hard boiled...not a good thing.
I had gone around 2:30 PM, so there wasn’t much of a crowd. I was hoping since there was no rush. My food preparation would have been a little bit more precise… but overall I would go back again. Maybe next time they'll properly soft boil...
Read moreI truly hate to leave bad reviews but sometime it’s just hard not to. Didn’t get a menu for 25 mins. But w e, but the Food.. each of the 3 broth flavor/ ramen we ordered , almost tasted the same. Lack of flavor for sure. Normally broth is creamy & so much aroma, that wasn’t the case. Noodles seemed undercooked. If you want good ramen you may need to visit Kinya in west orange, AMAZING. Two other points, they gave us hot oil for our spice needs, 2 table spoon, charged us 2$ each. It was 80 salt / 20 pepper, zero spice and it messed up the original broth. Every time they came to clean the server asked that I push the dirty napkin, spoons , plates over to her. Was I having dinner or serving? Again, wait time, lack of flavor, unwanted cost for disgusting hot oil, not worth it. If you know a thing or two about food, you know what time...
