On 11/26, I booked a spa facial for my wife as a surprise birthday gift, for 12/22 at 10am. At 8:41am 12/22, a rep from Sagittarius called and explained that their esthetician was running late due to the weather. We completely understood and were able to reschedule to a 1:30pm appointment time, as my wife had already taken the day off from work.
At 11:11am, I received another call from Sagittarius explaining that their esthetician was no longer coming in to work that day. I tried to explain that this was a birthday gift, and that my wife had taken the day off for this, and that this was very disappointing. The rep quickly quipped back in a snarky tone, “I’m sorry, but we take our employees health and safety seriously, BYE.” as she abruptly hung up on me.
At 11:12am, I called right back trying to figure out how we can reschedule. The rep now identified as “Ali” was purposefully being difficult in providing available appointment times, before I decided that 12pm on 12/23 would work for my wife.
At 11:19am, my wife called and spoke to the manager “Jordon”. My wife explained that she overheard the conversation and that Ali’s side of the interactions was completely unprofessional, and wanted to bring it to a supervisor’s attention. Jordon explained that the reason Ali hung up on me was that I was “screaming” at her. This is a blatant lie! Jordon was dismissive of my wife’s concerns, and simply confirmed the new appointment time.
At 11:27am, I called Jordon, and left a message explaining my rejection of Ali’s false accusation, and that we are canceling all appointments with Sagittarius because of the experiences today. I don’t anticipate a return call.
This has been one of the most perplexing combinations of interactions. It’s pretty clear that repeat customers are not important to them. As I’m sure they have plenty of clientele that overlook these issues, and continue to spend a lot of $$ there. It’s also evident that the front desk and management lack professionalslism, integrity, and accountability. They don’t care, because they don’t have to care. I do not believe this is a reflection of all those employed at Sagittarius, just those mentioned in this review.
12/22 19:33pm, Addendum: The esthetician calling out is not the issue at all. She doesn’t control the weather. My issue is the front desk hanging up on me, and then lying about the interaction to her manager to save face when my wife called to complain. She had used a temporary color back in March that was supposed to wash away but never fully did. She discussed the temporary color she used with the specialist and showed her pictures of the color she wanted (medium brown with some caramel highlights). The color specialist told her the color she wanted would be easy to achieve, quoted her a price, and they scheduled an appointment. Her appointment day came and she was assigned to a different color specialist (not the one she met with). When the color specialist finished my daughter’s hair, the specialist gasped, and the original specialist (who met with my daughter) walked over and asked the specialist working on my daughter’s hair why it was pink and she said she didn’t know and wasn’t sure how to fix it. The color specialist never told my daughter what was happening nor did she let her see the color. My daughter was left to overhear conversations between the color specialists to understand what the hell was happening. The experienced color specialist had to mix up a new color for the less experienced specialist and then reapplied color to my daughter’s hair. My daughter was in tears and texting me the whole time. She was afraid to say anything because she knew she would start crying. I called the salon to find out what was happening and they responded “well, this issue is due to years of using box color”. I corrected them and told them she doesn’t have years if box dye on her hair, she used a temporary color back in March and it was discussed at her consultation appointment and told it wouldn’t be a problem.No apologies, no acknowledgement of making a mistake or taking any accountability, nothing but putting the blame on a minor. My daughter saved up her hard earned money to have a nice salon experience before her senior pictures were taken (the same evening of her appointment). Instead, she had a terrible experience, her color is nothing like what she wanted (it’s much darker with random platinum streaks) and she had to spend an hour trying to remove dye from her skin around her face and neck because the color specialist left it there. Read moreI was referred to Sagittarius Salon & Spa by a realtor friend of mine, as I was unhappy with my current salon. I asked for someone who is adept with layered hair. They sent me to Joselyne. I have never had such an exquisite hair salon experience in all of my 65 years! From the moment I stepped into it, Sagittarius catered to my every need, including those I didn't know I had! From aromatherapy and neck massage before a coloring, to the footstools at the shampoo bowls, while getting a hand massage, I felt pampered and special from start to finish. Some people may say it's pricey, but I say, you get what you pay for. As far as I am concerned, they are worth every penny. I loved the Bumble & Bumble Invisible Oil line so much that I ordered full size products from Bumble & Bumble who asked for the salon I go to and my stylist's name. I have been going from hairdresser to hairdresser for six years and I am finally "home"! Thank you all who serviced me, and especially Joselyne. You really are experts! When I first consulted with Joselyn, my hair was in many layers, the longest being shoulder length. We decided that I should try to grow out the short layers, while steadily trimming the the longest layer, until it was all one length. For the first time in over forty years, my hair is healthy and looks fabulous!~ I have purchased great hair products and tools to try to mimic the magic that Joselyne works with my hair.I am so happy that the 45 minute drive to get there doesn't matter to me.I just scheduled a "dermaplaning" facial and I cannot wait for that! Keep up the great level of services you provide! I am now 70 and Joselyne is responsible for me not looking my age!
