Yellow House Honey — Attraction in Hamden

I purchased the lip balm and a jar of honey. I work in the wine industry and when you speak of terroir in relation to wine making, you begin to understand where the wine is made and how that translates into what you’re tasting. The same can be said with this honey. There is an amazing depth of flavor that goes beyond the initial “honey” notes. Citrus with herbaceous notes that distinguish this from anything commercially made. The honey has character and I’m assuming will change with the seasons. I look forward to trying more of this. The lip balm is fantastic, not greasy or waxy. Goes on smooth with a smidge of the essential oil notes on the finish that are complimentary and don’t overwhelm. Lauren bottles the most exceptional honey! We're convinced that she is made of magic and that she has super bees. YHH has ruined all other honey for us! Nothing compares to it. It's affordable, smooth, bursting with flavor and something that we now look forward to every summer. Because we love YHH so much, my partner and I are willing to commute back to CT from wherever we will be in the future, just to get it! Lauren stopped by our Summer Camp and educated our students on the importance of bees. It was such an eye opening experience for lots of the kids and they are still raving about it.
