I recently visited New Haven & tried out this Mexican restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted warmly by the friendly staffs. The restaurant itself had a vibrant and colorful dƩcor, reflecting the rich culture and heritage of Mexico. The seating was comfortable, and the tables were adorned with traditional Mexican accents.
The menu at Ixtapa Mexican Grill offers a wide variety of authentic Mexican dishes. They offer free salsa and chips. The chips were perfectly crispy and served warm. It was a great way to begin the meal.
For the main course, we ordered tacos, chimichanga, enchiladas, fajita combo- chicken, steak & shrimp, fajita melted burger, and grilled steak quasedilla. The presentation of the foods was impeccable, the aroma was tantalizing, and the amount was too good! The dishes were accompanied by Mexican rice and a item made with beans, which were cooked to perfection.
I donāt have a Mexican tastebud but I must say their foods exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend giving Ixtapa Mexican...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAmazing food for what how randomly placed this restaurant is. My grandmother and I decided to try this place out on a nice evening and were greeted by friendly staff and a quick showing to our seats. Since I have come back, neither time did I have to wait more than a few minutes for my seat. After sitting down, like at most Hispanic restaurants, we received a basket of chips, which I will say were quite exceptional. The hot sauce which was served with them in a fancy little bottle just added to the experience. After sitting for a bit, a very friendly waitress walked over and very politely took my order. Even for my horrible pronunciation of some of the meals, she was no less seemingly delighted to take my order. When the server came out with my food after a very reasonable wait for the amount of others dining in the restaurant, he was very friendly to other diners who were obviously either friends or frequent diners. All in all, the food was exceptional and the environment was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAte here recently with a friend. We both ordered drinks, appetizers and entreeās. It was a Friday night, the restaurant was busy and service was mediocre as a result. They could have used another waiter. We decided to skip dessert. The process of deciding not to get dessert, getting the bill and paying took longer than usual due to the slow service. After we paid the bill we sat for no more than 5 minutes deciding the rest of our evening plans. Our waiter approached our table and told us that we needed to leave because āwe have a lineā. My friend and I were appalled. I must say this is the first time in my life Iāve ever had this experience at a restaurant. I felt like all they/the waiter were interested in was making money and once that was done it was āhereās the door and donāt let it hit you on the way outā. I gave it 2 stars because the food was okay. But there are better Mexican restaurants around. ...
