I would like to share that my experience in this shop was less than desirable. The employee "Anthony" was very rude and aggressive for literally no reason at all. He treated us as if we were a massive inconvenience and difficult, but it was just my husband and I in the entire store, no other customers. We were casually browsing and asking for pricing when we had interest in the cards we wanted. We were extremely patient with this employee. We didn't say anything to him because I didn't want to have any conflict but he was just so rude and aggressive to the point we were EXTREMELY uncomfortable with this encounter. It didn't help either when we asked to pick out cards if there were multiple to pick from and he would scuff with annoyance. I feel my husband and I gave this man no reason to treat us the way he did. He was also NOT CAREFUL with the cards either when he was handling them. He was rough and slamming them down. As collectors this was absolutely uncalled for and unacceptable. He never greeted us when we walked in either. I feel disappointed because I was looking forward to visiting this shop and I was excited to see a lot of the 151 cards I need to finish my master set BUT the experience is what will keep me from visiting again.
I would recommend going anywhere but here for card collecting because other shops like CardStocks (Liberty Township) and Mavericks (Mason) are way friendlier and happy to help customers. You won't feel like a inconvenience or treated poorly. I so wish this employee gets training they desperately need for working in a customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI imagine if you are into card games this might be a place to check out. I don't play them myself so I can't vouch for their selection, but seeing as how their display cases of various cards take up about half of their extremely small store, it seems like a decent enough collection.
As for the rest, very underwhelming. They don't have much and what they do have is pretty standard and much cheaper on Amazon. Not to say that last part is unexpected, but if you're looking to go somewhere in person because you want that personal touch, this may not be the best option. Nobody so much as glanced up when I walked in and though I saw several people working there in my two or three short trips around the store, none of them ever acknowledged my presence. Not a huge deal to me, since I didn't actually need any help, but it seems worth mentioning.
I was mainly looking for a new set of dice but their dice selection was pretty abysmal. I honestly can't think of any reason I'd go back there when there are better options...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat people and very knowledgeable. They make everybody feel at home and as a friend. I highly recommend visiting there.
After writing this review, I realized two years later. And moving over a half an hour away. that my son still drives there for games at least twice a week, sometimes more after work or before work. The staff and owner make you feel like friends and welcomed. There are closer game stores, one ten minutes away. To me this says that this store is worth the extra miles to get there. If your a beginner or experienced or a loner and want a place to game. Then this is the place to go. The other stores are good but lack the welcoming air about them. Lanny is the owner and will help guide you. Thatās...
