Took my Samsung Galaxy S5 in for a digitizer replacement. About a week later I noticed the bottom corner of the screen was coming up. I called the store and they said, "Oh yeah, bring it in, we'll take care of that." Later that day, however, the screen actually FELL OUT OF THE PHONE. When I brought it into the store, they told me that physical damage was not covered. I explained that the "physical damage" was caused by faulty installation and the response was, "We use adhesive. I can't help it, physical damage is not covered." He offered to install a new one for me for just the cost of the screen but said I would still have to pay that cost. Given my experiences so far, I chose not to take him up on his offer. Instead, I purchased a new digitizer and some 1 mm adhesive on Amazon for $100 less than what they charged to do the repair. When I opened the phone up and really started looking, I realized there was no adhesive added at the time of the repair. The only thing holding the screen in was a few remnants of the original manufacturers adhesive. Frankly, I am surprised the thing stayed in for a whole week. I installed the new adhesive and screen I had purchased in less than 10 minutes and my phone has worked like a charm ever since. No problems.
These guys are crooks as far as I'm concerned. They half-a$$ed the job I paid them to do and when it broke they tried to imply that it was my fault. That being said, some people seem to have a satisfactory or even positive experience. I'd say, if you decide to use these guys, you're taking a...
Read moreI went in to get a new screen protector since my old one started to get air bubbles. I called before I went in and told the guy over the phone about my situation and explained I got the screen protector at CPR before. I was told it would be around $13 over the phone. I go in and explain to the girl what was said over the phone and how much the man over the phone said it would be and she charged me for $44. I didn’t mind having to pay more because I just cared about my screen protector not having anymore air bubbles so the price did not affect me. After she put the new screen protector on, I left the store but I noticed there were air bubbles in the new screen protector. I went back in and asked if she could fix it and she said sure. After that she gives the phone back after “fixing” the screen protector and when I get back to my car, not only is there still air bubbles, if not more now, but the screen protector...
Read moreI had my sons iPad screen replaced from here and within two weeks it cracked again after not having any problems with my screen for almost 2 years prior to bringing it in. I was in another country and unable to bring it back to them for a few months and once I did, I showed him that I felt as if it was not properly installed because the screen was very loose and they never actually re-installed the home button so it would not function at all, which made the iPad nearly unusable he said in response when I said I’ve never seen a screen like this that bounces whenever you tap it or touch it and he said “Well have you been installing these for six years” and my response was that no but I have had iPads for over 10 years and this is the first one that I’ve seen with a loose screen so I don’t know if it’s new management or new employees or just very cheap materials but I could not...
