Love the school and the classes, hate the administration (in student services at least). The admissions office has the worst staff I've ever seen. I've never been disrespected so terribly in my entire life, nor had such crappy customer service per-se. Long story short, they put me on suspension for no reason, deleted all of my classes two weeks before they started, then lifted the suspension several DAYS before classes started, and told me to go re-register classes. Considering classes fill up months before they start, I couldn't enroll in anything, and somehow owed then $900 in tuition fees, yet I couldn't/didn't even attend school that semester. Needless to say, I applied and went somewhere else. If they would staff their offices better I might consider going back, but until then I refuse to put up with unprofessionalism like that, especially since I'm paying out of pocket to get my education. The only reason I gave them a 'good' rating was because of the professors and...
Read moreSoutheastern is the worst university ever. I am currently attending the university, and they use Pearson to take exams, which even though you get the answer correct but on Pearson you put a . Symbol instead of a , you will not receive credit no matter what, even if you have the correct answer written down. Some professors will make it where, even if you have a B or higher in the class it doesn’t matter if you don’t pass the last test they will fail you and the previous quizzes and exams will be turn to F’s. Also, the math lab where you take test, they have a device that makes loud banging noises while your taking test, it is use to gather data for the psychology department without your consent. Please do not take this as a one time bad experience, this happens to a large chunk of southeastern students. Go to a different university this one is horrible, and does nothing but make it harder to get a degree...
Read moreI have been here 3 semesters now, I love it so far. However, I CAN'T STAND their parking arrangements! I am not sure if it's normal, but I cannot find student parking within a mile of my class, ever. My first semester I was 6-9 months pregnant. They wrote me a violation every single day I was parked "near" the campus .... because there was hardly any student parking. Having a high-risk pregnancy, I couldn't make the haul with books and art materials every day. They even put a boot on my vehicle, they knew my condition and didn't care, even with a verified request from the doctor asking for leniency. However, I know that's not merit enough to give a bad review, because it is a college not a Walmart. So I give 5 stars because I love all of my instructors/professors. I like the campus (smaller than LSU!). I just love everything else...
