This review is solely for the playground, not the banquet facility here. I grew up in Streamwood and this was the park that my parents always brought me to as a little kid. That was about 25ish years ago - the park still has the same jungle gym/equipment. Paint chipping off, rusted screws and bolts, dirty and dingy equipment. Come on, it's been 30 + years at least, can the village not invest in this park and upgrade this equipment by now?? Also, looks like they just keep dumping new wood chips over the old ones, some areas, the woodchips are piled so high that they are interfering with the equipment. And what happened to Safety Town?? They just leveled it and decided to build absolutely nothing in it's place? This park is nice for the grassy area, and the baseball field..but the jungle gym and swings need to be completely replaced. Add more benches, add options for younger kids in the toddler phase. Read moreI love this park but nowadays I wish people would wear masks when they wear masks or at least social distance. I know there are people that don't take covid 19 seriously but I was in the hospital for 6 weeks and almost died. After another month and a half I still need oxygen. People need to stop coming off the minor inconvenience it is and care about those around you. I work at a grocery store and had it for over 2 weeks before i had a clue. I wore a mask and gloves and sanitized constantly to protect others please do the same when you are going to be around...
Read moreLove this barn and everything about it. Rustic Decorations, lights, layout is great and very clean. Bathroom facilities very nice both inside the barn and outside facilities. Beautiful event location.
My only complaint is there didn't seem to have a lot of ventilation, or ceiling fans would help. Temp outside was 50's or less. About 100 folks attending and dancing at a wedding.
