The Whippany Railway Museum is an absolute gem for anyone who loves trains, history, or just a wholesome weekend outing. From the moment you step onto the grounds, you’re transported into a different era — surrounded by beautifully restored vintage locomotives, cabooses, and passenger cars that bring railway history to life.
The staff and volunteers are incredibly passionate and knowledgeable. They were eager to share stories, answer questions, and make sure every visitor had a memorable time. Their dedication to preserving this piece of American rail history really shines through.

Inside the museum, you’ll find tons of interesting memorabilia, photos, model trains, and interactive exhibits. Everything is well-organized and maintained with care. The gift shop also had great souvenirs and books for rail enthusiasts.
Whether you’re a family with children, a train lover, or someone just looking for a unique local attraction, the Whippany Railway Museum is well worth the visit. I’d definitely come again — and next time, I’ll bring more...

It certainly was nice to find such lovely historical treasures and "Free of Charge" at that. Parking is also free. PS It would be nice if the concession stand, restrooms and gift...
