Awful experience with this company. I took 2 iPads for them to check and diagnose. They misdiagnosed both iPads and did not repair. On one iPad according to “owner” it was the “LCD’s” and it was not worth repairing per “owner”. The second iPad it was initially screen and battery that needed to be replaced. Paid for repair, picked up iPad and screen was extremely dirty. I requested them to clean it again since it had ugly stains on the inside of screen. The lady who is behind register said they would “re-clean” and call me when it was ready. I went back to pick up iPad since it was ready when I picked it up the screen was moving on its own. Took iPad back and they “re-checked”. The 3rd time they checked they said they couldn’t repair anymore- that they “didn’t know” what the problem was. They did reimburse me the repair cost but when I took it for another company for another opinion at Inno Repair the tech there at Inno Repair did repair both iPads and found that one of iPads “pins” were broken that are part of “digitizer”. Bottom line is they either broke the pins or installed a faulty battery that inflated and broke the pins. Also the tech at Inno Repair showed me the screen that he removed that these people had replaced and the screen was ugly and all scratched from the inside! Insane! I Can not believe these people here at STX get away with this nonsense! They misdiagnosed and left my iPad in worse condition that it was initially in. Thankfully awesome techs at Inno Repair fixed my iPads and cleaned up STX’s mess they caused along the way! Please do not give these people your business! Be aware of this business who is completely unprofessional and dishonest and can not for the life of them properly...
Read moreI took my phone for repair two weeks ago. The gentleman told me he'd need to order the required part.
I told him I was going to check around to see if another cell phone repair company in the area had the part in stock.
The stx repair guy told me to hold on while he double checked in the back to see if he could find the part. When he returned, he said he had the part and could make the repair.
I returned 2 hours later and my phone was ready for pickup. He told me it was fixed. The phone was off because the battery was needing to be charged.
I trusted him, paid $65 which included a $5 dollar tip.
After charging my phone, I made a trial call, and the phone wasn't fixed. I returned to stx and the door was locked. Finally after 2 days of calling, I got in touch with stx.
The gentleman told me it must be a defective part. He said it would take 10 days, and when the part arrived, he'd make the repair. I returned to stx on the day I was told, and was told they were still waiting for the part.
Frustrated, I went to cpr cell repair. The gentleman fixed my phone in 1 hr. And charged me 25.00 dollars less than stx.
The cpr repair guy told me when I picked up my cellphone that it was all original parts. He said no previous repair was done at stx. In other words, stx lied and charged me for no repair.
Stx is very unprofessional and shouldn't be in business. They stole my money and kept me without a phone for 2 weeks.
