I’d just like to say they lost TWO customers for very POOR costumer service coming from the “ owner “. I called into the restaurant and ordered “ two BURGERS with mushrooms on it “ I was driving to the restaurant as I was placing the order so I asked the guy on the phone to explain what all comes on the burger and all I heard was goat cheese! So I went Onto the web n looked at the burger that said it had goat cheese and noticed it had wheat bun so I called back in and asked for regular buns ( keep in mind it doing this in between driving because the person on the phone didn’t give me a full discription of the SANDWICH) .. so I get there, picked my food up and get home to discover that there’s NO BURGER PATTY.. so I called back letting the now lady who answered the phone know that there was a bit of miss communication in regards to the order because I didn’t receive a BURGER WITH MUSHROOMS I just got a huge rubbery mushroom! She immediately offered to fix the issue as anyone would with great costumer service! She offered to replace the sandwich on the house and I could come in and get them any time in the week. So I call into the restaurant, let them know who I was and that I’m calling to order my complimentary burgers and they took my order and told me it’ll be about 15-29 mins before it was ready. So 15-20 mins later I got to pick my order up and the Owner says to me that he will not honor the sandwiches on the house because when I called back in to ask to change the buns I told him I looked at the menu. Now fron working in customer service and in food restaurants and just basically having commonsense I know who should NEVER offer someone something and then take the offer back. TWO when I call in the very beginning I asked for a burger with mushrooms so idk why they thought I wanted a mushroom on bread, either way my time was wasted because instead of telling me over the phone it wouldn’t be honored I drove all the way down there and was told that he wont honor the burgers. He also stated the person who Told me that I can come back in to get those complementary burgers was not a manager. I don’t know how he expected me to know that but I feel like that should have been handled in house. It is very bad business to offer someone something and then take it back. I will not be returning to this restaurant and I will let anybody know not to go there because they are...
Read moreBurger Yum is located at the corner of North 2nd and South Streets. It is within two city blocks of the State Capital's main entrance. It is centrally located and is very easy to find. It's decor is industrial like, with nice clean lines and is very inviting. The staff were very cordial and friendly. Manager Milan was more than gracious and offered to make custom orders if you are unfortunate enough to be to on a limited diet.
This contemporary little American Classic Restaurant serves fast food that is simply delicious and meticulously prepared. The menu is limited, but all items are tasty and YUMmy!
The burgers were made to perfection and the YUM sauce took them over the top. On my second trip to this restaurant I requested that the chicken sandwich be grilled. My request was accepted without hesitation, and I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich!
In my opinion one of the best tasting items on this menu is......the FRIES! As soon as you take your first bite you immediately sense that this is not your ordinary fast food fries. Your taste buds KNOW and tell you that they were fresh cut (probably that morning) and were seasoned perfectly. Try them because you will not be disappointed!
So if you are visiting the State Capital, or staying in Center City Harrisburg make sure to drop by and give this place a try! I'm sure you will say YUM more than once during your...
Read moreA great spot for greasy food in downtown Harrisburg!
Mt fiancé and I visited Burger Yum for a date night and filled ourselves up on greasy burgers, chicken yummies (chicken nuggets, fries and milkshakes.
Seating was full on a Friday night in June, but we were still able to snag a seat at a two-person table before our food was ready.
Portion sizes are large, so take that into account when ordering. As a women who can usually finish off a restaurant meal with no problem, I found myself stuffed after having a 6-count of the chicken yummies, half a large fry and milkshake. Order less to start out, or they have takeout boxes for your convenience if you can’t finish your meal.
Note: the fried food is delicious, but don’t expect to finish your meal without feeling the affects of greasy food. We did enjoy our food, but felt very bloated with grease afterwards.
Milkshakes have good flavor, but were more milk than a shake.
Overall, a great experience but something we’ll...
