Stopped over here and walked around a bit with my wife & kids after wandering the Capitol complex area this past July.
Coming from the Chicago area, we were visiting my dad's sibs who live in the Tamaqua area. This was the first time visiting PA since 2011 and my wife & kids first visit ever.
We were previously in Hershey visiting the Chocolate World so I figured what's a few extra miles driving west to visit the state's capital.
The park is a beautiful memorial surrounded by some historical architecture. Anytime I encounter a military memorial wherever I go, I always wanna pay my respects to the fallen men & women of our armed forces.
My dad who's a retired 20-year navy veteran who's still alive & well today but slowly going blind may not have been a ground-pounder but I always remind him from to time as well as every Veterans Day that I appreciate his service & sacrifice to our country & family.
