I'm a little experienced with escape rooms. I played with speakeasy one with 2 other people that I knew and a room full of others. As usual with rooms it depends a lot on who you play with. This room was very one thing at a time I'm order which means usually a few leaders of the group tended to do everything. I tried to help but ended up feeling too crowded and just talked to the gamemaster. I like when it's interactive like that and she was very fun to talk to.
Pros: Reasonably priced (low-mid range) Great custumer service from family business Love 1920s theme Story telling in the plot was one of the best I've seen Interactive with gamemaster Usable props and costumes Hints as needed, but group choice (pretty standard)
Cons: Very thin walls and could hear the other room Room size was too small for max people, I feel like 5 people would be a better max. Some of the decor was not the most secure The temperature was slightly warm, the girl opened a door but the draft only helped so much.
Overall, it was a good time. Everyone in my party had fun. Obviously don't take children too young and always have a positive attitude. I would go again to try a...
Read moreI recently visited Speedwayescapes Escape Room Center in Harrisburg on an icy day, and it was an absolute blast! My friend and I tackled Dracula's Tomb, and it was such a thrilling challenge. We managed to escape with only moments to spare, thanks to a few much-needed clues to get us started—once we got going, we were flying!
The room itself was super engaging, with clever puzzles and an immersive atmosphere that kept us on our toes the whole time. The staff were incredibly friendly and supportive, which added to the experience, and the price was very reasonable for such a fun outing.
I highly recommend Speedwayescapes to anyone looking for a memorable adventure. Whether you're a seasoned escape room enthusiast or a first-timer, this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back and try...
Read moreAvid escape room goers and newbies alike will LOVE this local mom and pop spot. Do not pass this gem by! We did the Dracula room and loved it so much that we stayed and did the Sorcerer’s room. So if you have the time do both rooms back to back. The owners have put so much thought and design into each room. Plus the space is big and doesn’t feel cramped like some other rooms we’ve been to. I really look forward to more...
