Well they finally opened. After many months of anticipation of a Hot Dog Joint near home, and numerous drive just to see if they opened yet, I managed to stop in a week after they opened. Being a self proclaimed hotdog and brat connoisseur and known to jump on my Harley for a back road ride for 4 hours (one way) to try a highly proclaimed hotdog or brat(two birds one stone “wind time & a dog” the idea of a place just down the road and the potential to grab a dog between honey-do runs was exciting. Stopped in today with my grandson and excited to see it this was a real go out your way place or just another space filler. What I found was both pleasing and disappointing. Not just basic dogs , they have home cut and home battered items that are done perfectly. The only thing they need to work on is how to manage the big crowds..... it can be difficult when you have a lot of people show up for the lunch rush and that makes it a 10 minute wait in line and 20 minutes to wait on your food. It was a hot dog with a slither of chilli sauce, a slab of slaw that looked like pure mayonnaise and toppped smothered in mustard. I paid $6.32 for this...not worth it. Cookout would have been better and that is not saying a whole lot. Sorry but this is just my point of view being from the south. Also for this level of hotdog, it should have been ready in 5 mins or less...it took almost 15 mins. I sure do miss Greens hotdogs uptown...
