I love this store primarily for the board games and options they offer. They have a variety of games from one player to multiple, competitive and co-op, stand alone or legacy. My favorite feature of this store is their rental policy. Almost every game for sale can also be rented for 10% retail price per day. I love this so much because it stops me from having buyers regret and ensures I only buy the games I love. Also, side note, of course the board games found here are more expensive than Amazon, but it’s always so important to support a local business, and what a great local business to support! The staff are always very kind, knowledgeable, and up for offering recommendations, the store is always kept clean and organized, and overall it’s a great place to spend some time either browsing or playing games (pre covid). While I mainly enjoy the store for its board games I can say there are several other hobby related sections to admire in the store! Pre Covid (and hopefully post Covid) you would always see a large gathering of enthusiastic players getting ready for whatever night’s event was. It is definitely worth a visit, we...
Read moreI was here for the first time with my sons. We were looking for some place to kill a little time before a movie. It was endlessly fascinating. Hidden treasures around every corner.
They have a wall of used board games and a table where you can try them out for free. There's also space for tabletop rpgs.
The time to check out was annoyingly long. It looks like they buy cards a well as selling stuff. We were in line forever while both registers were occupied by people selling stacks of cards. All the cards had to be examined and some of them researched.
When we finally got to the counter it took us about 30 seconds to check out our one item each. This kind of gross inefficiency makes me inwardly rage, tbh. But I doubted there was anyone at the store who could do anything about this absurdity. I was faultlessly patient. You're...
Read moreIf you walk in here and expect a good attitude and decent customer service, you'd be dead wrong. I get to go very rarely and the times I do, every person behind the counter has a terrible stand off attitude with no semblance of customer service anywhere to be found. They all act they're better than you because they work there. And that they have no time for you or your "stupid question". Reality check, they work at a board game store. They are not better than anyone that walks in. Awful place and I will be shopping at and/or suggesting ANY spot other than this to spend your time and money. For some, this is the only place/time that people can go out throughout the week to enjoy themselves. No one should be met with the bad attitude these...
