Very windy and can be dangerous after dark with the over 600 curves in the road but a beautiful ride! Be sure to drive slow and note that most bridges are over streams that have a waterfall one on the mountain side. Important note: The highway is two lanes and is only one lane on the bridges. Therefore traffic can get congested and the angry drivers can take away from your ability to enjoy the views for than a few seconds as you'll need to keep moving in 9 out of 10 cases. Minimal parking on curb to stop and take a picture. The view is mostly blocked by brush, vegetation and other natural features and there are very little places to stop to enjoy the view without people honking at you which is why it's not a full five stars. You will not have service for 95% of the drive as of November 21, 2019. This was the case with the latest phones on Verizon and T-Mobile. So, do not venture out with any important pending business as I did! Emails and texts will not go out/come in. So, be prepared to be off the grid and enjoy the drive without many stop with the exception of the first waterfall stop (free) and the Garden of Eden (very nice but $15 per person). The black sand beach near the end of the drive is wonderful and the water is amazing. Don't be afraid to go out into the water and enjoy the waves. Just beware the undercurrent. My favorite part was the black sand beach and feeding the ducks and peacocks at Garden of Eden park (private property with aforementioned entry...
