Da Mean Bean — Restaurant in Maui

I recently stopped by Da Mean Bean while driving the scenic Hana Highway, and it quickly became one of my favorite coffee stops on Maui! The coffee here is outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and with that perfect balance of rich roast and smooth creaminess. I tried their Signature Hana Highway Latte and was blown away by how unique and delicious it was. The banana bread was moist and packed with tropical flavors, a perfect complement to my drink.

If you’re on the Hana road, Da Mean Bean is an absolute must-stop for a great coffee and breakfast bite. I wish I could visit every morning during my stay here! Highly recommend to anyone passing through.

Some places just stay with you for life and this is one of those places. My husband and I were staying at the Hyatt and walked over every morning for our morning drinks. In addition to having amazing and unique coffees (A latte with macadamia syrup and milkademia creamer is called the "MacDaddy") the owner is so incredibly nice and funny.

Afternoon of Feb 16 we stopped by for a coffee here, after visiting the State Park (Waianapanepa) - which is beautiful BTW. Anyway we ordered a large Americana to share; while paying for it the server says "Oh forgot to tell you we don't have any lids," and "Oh I used milk because we're out of cream." So we paid $7 for a watered down large Americana with no lid for the road. I seriously don't understand the high review ratings on this place. Why aren't people honest? Just...
