Well how do you review such a wonderful place. Let's first start by the way you're greeted as you pork and you see this beautiful building and the grounds that surrounds the area. Second let me tell you about the feeling and spirit as you walk onto the sacred grounds.

You see the lush green Gardens the beautiful waterfalls and pools and the Rich history of the church in the gospel in the sacred place.

You're then greeted by some wonderful sister missionaries who can escort you around and fill you in on the history and their knowledge of the temple grounds and sites in the community around them. This is an excellent place to sit quietly Ponder your thoughts stretch your legs.

As you learn more about Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints in the Hawaiian Islands and what struggles in miracles of Heaven to the people into the buildings you'll be more impressed with hell resourceful they are. There's several short movies that you're able to watch and learn from.

This is only a few blocks away from the Polynesian Cultural Center and the University of BYU Hawaii. It's a great quick swap to stop and enjoy some amazing views...

The temple grounds are beautiful and the friendly sister missionaries especially friendly and do a wonderful job of escorting you and are quick to offer to take a picture of your entire group at various picturesque spots.

The Visitor Center itself is cool. The sisters brought our group into a theater and showed us a great video explaining the unique history of the temple and the endurance and faith of the locals after their chapel burned down in 1940 and used Hukilaus to fundraise the rebuilding of the chapel. The Visitor Center also boasts other interesting exhibits. My favorite was is a family history exhibit in which you can put in your name birth year and it tells you the meaning of your name and various fun pop culture facts about the year you were born. We learned the spelling of our son's name is apparently...

The Laie Hawaii Temple Visitors Center is located down the hill from the LDS Laie Hawaii Temple, obviously, however, it's also part of the Polynesian Cultural Center(PCC) bus tour. We went to the visitor center first, because we are LDS and went to the temple before going to the PCC. There is a beautiful Christus there along with information about the temple and the LDS religion. The missionaries were super friendly and weren't pushy at all. We watched a 10 minutes video about the history of the temple and how the LDS religion was brought to Hawaii, very interesting. Whether you're Mormon or not, it's definitely worth the visit because of how much Laie is a part of the Mormon culture...

The Temple grounds are so peaceful. There were students studying on the lawn, people sitting by the fountains and birds flitting about. The Visitors Center had a beautiful statue of Christ and so many lovely displays. My favorite part was the short video about the island and the fire that destroyed the church building and how the people ingeniously figured out how to find the funds to rebuild and start the Polynesian Cultural Center.
