Biggest disappointment ever. I’m sure the memorable is stunning but this is about the shuttle boats that take you to the memorable. I can’t believe I came all the way to Hawaii and did not get to see the memorial. The shuttle boats are a disgrace to those who died there on 12/7/1941. There have been recent issues with limited shuttle access to the USS Arizona Memorial, which have caused some Pride of America cruise ship passengers to miss the memorial entirely, even when it was part of their booked excursion. They do not run near enough shuttles. We had to be back on the tour bus at the same time they called our number to board the shuttle. We booked this tour specifically to pay our respects at the memorial and missing it felt like a major letdown because of the 2 problems below: Limited Shuttle Capacity • The Navy-operated shuttle boats that take visitors from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center to the Arizona Memorial have limited seating. • On busy Saturdays, tickets can sell out quickly, even for guests on organized tours like those from the Pride of America cruise ship. You’re better off renting a car - expecting to be there most of the day to do this. • Some excursions include the memorial but only if shuttle tickets are available, which isn't guaranteed. Preservation Work • As of September 2025, the National Park Service has paused advanced reservations due to ongoing removal of WWII-era salvage platforms from the Arizona wreckage • This means access is first-come, first-served, and even booked tours may not...

BE AWARE: NO BOATS RUN FROM 12-1pm due to lunch. Yes, lunch is the same time everyday, and yes, everyday there are no boats that run during this time.
This wouldn’t be an issue if they posted this anywhere…literally anywhere in the park, on the website, signs at the entrance, etc., but NO! That would make too much sense.
Instead, be prepared to wait 1-2 hours in line just to be told 5 mins before the front that you will need to wait an additional hour because of the lunch break.
Again, wouldn’t be an issue if the public was told this information to plan accordingly as I am sure no one would be entering the line 30-60 mins prior to the lunch break if they knew this.

Read moreVery memorable place. I will echo the last few reviews. Information can be a little confusing. You do not need reservations for the movie that plays on the 15 and 45. You will not be able to see the movie with your time slot on the ferry to the memorial. You will need to plane 21 minutes for the movie either before your ferry time or after. You can see the movie ANYTIME!! This is not the movie in the museum buildings. This movie plays next to the ferry loading.
Note. If you have 8-12 year old kids, sit close to the front on the ferry. It might be worth...
