Hawley Silk Mill — Attraction in Hawley

The Boiler Room at the Hawley Silk Mill is truly a hidden jem. My husband and I celebrated our wedding here in September of 2019. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. It started from our first meeting with Jen. We met her unexpectedly while we were looking for a place to hold our intimate wedding. She showed us a few options that didn’t quite fit what we were looking for but then sent us over to the boiler room to check it out on our own. When we walked in my husband and I had no doubt that this was the place we were going to be married. Dealing with Jen in the months leading up to the wedding were completely stress free and exciting. The days before the wedding she convinced me to let her set up the venue for the wedding. My plan was to do it the morning of so everything was the way I wanted it. I agreed and it was the best decision I could have made. Not only did she capture my vision, she made it more than I could have ever expected. It was beautiful. This is a favorite stop, mostly to visit Juan Espino at the Looking Glass Art Gallery. The main grocery store at the Mill closed down months ago and they moved some items into the now cramped Cocoon coffee shop (which quality wise dropped also months ago). There are some empty stores but a few new places makes it nice for my wife. It seems to be more oriented to women now, with hair and nail and lotion stores.
