Ritz Company Playhouse — Attraction in Hawley

A Truly Enjoyable Night at the Ritz Playhouse!

What a fantastic evening at the Ritz Playhouse! This charming little theater is a true gem — beautifully maintained, warm, and inviting. The talent on stage was absolutely incredible; you can tell these performers put their heart and soul into every line, every song, and every movement. It's community theater at its best — passionate, professional, and packed with heart.

The only suggestion I have (and I say this with great admiration for the performance) is that the Playhouse really needs to invest in a sound system for the actors. Even sitting in the second row, I found it difficult at times to catch all the dialogue. I can only imagine it was more challenging for those seated farther back. Wireless mics for the cast would make a world of difference and help ensure every word and note can be fully appreciated by everyone in the audience.

That said, I truly loved the show and the atmosphere. The Ritz Playhouse offers a wonderful night out, and I look forward to returning again and again. With just a small audio upgrade, it could be practically perfect!

Humorous and heartwarming musical production of "Once Upon a Mattress," made extra-special by the young people who performed it! I am a permanent resident here in Hawley, and especially appreciate the continued use of this old vaudeville theater by the performing arts. The theater and the Ritz Company absolutely deserve our attendance...
