Murdoch's Ranch & Home Supply — Attraction in Helena

I am writing as a longtime customer of Murdoch's and previous employee. I recently visited the Helena location and made a large purchase. The customer service on the floor was exceptional however when I arrived at the checkout the service received from the cashier was unacceptable. I believe her name started with a R. The context of her conversation with other cashiers was not work appropriate and made customers very uncomfortable. My young child was with me, and I had her leave the checkout area.

The staff may need to be reminded what the core values, principles and what the mission of Murdoch's is. When I worked at Murdoch's we began each day with our mission statement. We will be the best. We will earn the admiration, respect, and smiles of our customers, team, and supplier partners as the leader in our industry.

My fiance and I were in there today to look at hats and were followed around the store and watched like we were gonna steal something. We have never had that experience in any store. After we had left, I told my fiance that I wished we had a few thousand $$ to spend in there cuz that would have taught them not to judge. We are not criminals and did not appreciate being treated as such. We were in there a few months ago to buy a hat and my fiance just wanted a new one but being as we got treated the way we were, we decided to go elsewhere. They done lost our business. Went for a certain type of dog food and some ammunition that I couldn't find anywhere (even at Sportsmans Where house). They just happened to have both, which surprised me. Now they didn't have a couple of other of other things I was looking for, but that's to be expected. The fact that they had those two things heavily outweighed the negatives. The only things I wasn't impressed by was the service. Although we were able to find the things we need, it would have been nice to have soom help.
