HEMET’s BEST MEXICAN MARKET! Even though customer service can be spotty on some occasions, I can always count on the food at Los Altos! I get their refried beans 🫘 on the regular as they’re always fresh and ready to eat. It’s $3.99 per each pound and they put the ready made beans in a container for you. Essentially, I’m picking up my dinner and I don’t have to cook. The beans are 90% very fresh and flavorful. You can’t beat Mexican beans! I’m also an avid pan dulce fan which means I HAVE to at least stop by the bakery up front and pick up a gingerbread pig or Mexican chocolate chip cookie! The bread is made fresh each day and is constantly rotated. I’ve never gotten sweet bread that’s been sitting there all day! It’s always delicious and soft. Once in a blue moon, I stop at the in-store restaurant and it’s home to some pretty solid food. Locals stand by it and there’s plenty of seating in the dining area. The carnicerĆa (meat market) is long and offers a variety of seafood, meats and more. I usually don’t grab anything from there but it’s definitely popular. As for ambiance, a lot of the folks I encounter are borderline depressed or troubled. I’ve never gotten a truly rude person, but the situation here with the staff is a bit awkward. Anyways, overall I suggest this market, it’s clean and dependable! Pick up some Mexican bread!

Honestly, I don't want to brag about my favorite Mexican market because it gets too busy, and I can not get my shopping done easily. If people knew how healthy this store Veggies, fruits, and meats were they beat everywhere else I love to shop! Yes, I love Winco, Sprouts, and Cardenas, but this is my first stop. The prices are great. But most of all, it is the quality of freshness and knowing I'm not getting all the toxic sprays and chemicals in my food. Also, the salsa doesn't have all the salt that Cardenas put in there's! I'm going to regret this post because I love going in and coming out. Now I'm going to be waiting in long lines again. But I think this food is safer for children and I care about them. Note the freshest Cilantro, huge green onions, and radishes. Enjoy!

Today I went for lunch w/ my family and the cashier from the kitchen was so mean to me, 0 customer service she made me feel so unwelcome, I repeated my order twice because I hear she was missing an item, then she rolled her eyes at me as if she was angry and finally I notice what I was missing, then she supposed to make a banana shake for my daughter and she did and after a while nobody let us know it was ready, she just put it on top of the counter and did not even bother to let us know it was ready, she looks like she hates working w/ people, why don’t they put her inside the meat department or the tortilleria department or anywhere else where she does not have to deal w/ people, I will take my business somewhere else, because I don’t like when people give me attitude like I’m getting anything for free. To me that was so disrespectful, I work in the restaurant industry before and you always have to treat people w/ respect. I really hope they move her out of there, so I can go back for food, maybe I will give them another chance. She was a tall and heavy cashier that work there...

Today I bought Masa and Carnitas along with other stuff such as to make my salsa and bread for my kids. I ask for masa and the lady didn’t put on no gloves 🧤 she got the masa with her hands so unhealthy unprofessional and unsanitary. Because she was stacking tortillas in the shelves before she helped me. After that I went to buy carnitas a pound to make Popusas . When I came home I Notice something black so I thought was a little burn piece of meat , when move it I saw wings and legs so grossed. I called to get my refund of masa and carnitas because now I just wasted ,y fresh dry beans , cheese , carnitas and masa on this that kids and husband do not wanna eat. This is the first time a big has come out in food. Other times it’s been a hair on Masa and a hair on meat (carnitas) the lady from carnitas also do not wash hands before they serve you. Either they scratched their head or teeth then serve you. Los Altos does not deserve half āļø star , but I couldn’t put no...
