My wife and I have at at this location many times since moving to Hemet in 2013. We have never gone away hungry and usually end up taking food home with us. Up until today our only complaint has been that the restaurant is very noisy inside. Today, 27 November, 2019 we had to make a stop in town at 9AM and had a doctor appointment at 10AM. Our first stop was complete at 9:05AM so we decided to stop at this place and order something that we could get fast and still make our 10AM appointment. We placed our order at 9:10AM. I ordered biscut and gravy. My wife ordered toast and gravy. Now we all know that the gravy was already cooked and ready. The biscut probably took 1.5 minutes in the microwave and the toast took less than 5 minutes in the toaster. At 9:35 I asked a waitress where our food was and was told we had to wait our turn just like everyone else! Now I don't expect special treatment, but come on, our order could have been made and brought out while larger meals were being prepared. We finally had to tell them to just make the orders to go as we had to go to the appointment. There is no reason our order should not have been made and brought to our table in more than...
Read moreI'm not from the Hemet area and I'm also not much of a Breakfast guy. My mom recently moved to San Jacinto. So on one of our visits we took mom out to breakfast. Oryz was the closest place we found. It didn't look like much from the outside. We went inside and there was like a 30 minute wait. Of course I wanted to leave but my mom and wife wanted to stay. We finally were seated and I got the ribeye and eggs. First bite my eyes widen. My wife asked whats wrong. I Tell her." you know I've always ate at great expensive restaurants in California and in my international travels this $18 ribeye in Hemet out of all places is easily in my top 3 best steaks I've ever had. At the end we all had this shared experience with all of our meals. This place is amazing. The wait is worth it. Since then I've been here a few more time. With different people and every single time the food is perfection. And their opinion afterwards is the same as mine. This place is a must visit. The staff is very friendly the cook... well they must be some kind of gods. The price is honestly low for great food, but I'm glad its this...
Read moreIt's not much to look at from the street. I know where it is and almost drove right by it. But inside is a hidden treasure. A good old fashioned mom and pop cafe with simple decor and welcoming staff. At the first glance of the menu, the prices seem about average for this type of establishment. But I assure you, the portion sizes are in your favor. Aside from that the quality is well above par. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs with a pancake on the side. I am not over exaggerating when I say it was the BEST country fried steak I've ever eaten. And the pancake, a simple pancake, was perfect. Not in shape or appearance, it looked home made, not off an assembly line. And was thick, and delicious. My girlfriend ordered the "country benedict" (detect a theme here?) And she was raving about it. But the real kicker for her was the size of her iced coffee. So, if you're in the mood for an amazing breakfast head over here. Mom's cooking might still bring back some nostalgia, but I'd probably bring...
