Had my son's birthday here recently. The place is great. Pricing is fair, facilities are clean, kids had a blast. I didn't rate 5 stars for a few reasons.
#1 - I had to ask and find our host multiple times. She never really came to check on us at all. There was a person who helped in the beginning to set up, which was awesome, but the actual host was not attending us unless I went and looked for her. Seemed that she was possibly occupied at the snack shack area, but other times I could find her even there.
#2 - When I asked employee JC at the front desk for help or if my host could come visit us, he kept deferring me to check the snack shack area, and he thought someone there could help. Another time he said he'll text her and hopefully she comes out. Didn't really take initiative to help me himself.
#3 - The blasters in the play area where you can load the many balls on the floor into were not functional. This was a let down for the kids.
#4 - I ONLY rated 3 and not 2 is because of a sweet attendant that was working in the play area. My son lost his glove and we brought it to her attention and I saw her literally for about 1hr looking for it. She actually found it! That is what going above and beyond for the customer is all about. I expected her to just make check lost and found at the end of our visit but she showed genuine care in helping us find it immediately. Her name is Mariyah. She deserves a raise.
#5 - Suggestion - Backgroubd music needs to be offered or just playing in the rooms for birthdays to make the atmosphere a little more inviting. It was kind of awkward at times when we were all eating in the room, in silence.
#6 - No shoe covers. It is painful for me to walk barefoot because of a condition I have and when I ask for shoe covers, Team Manager Sierra said they are for elderly people. Then she said elderly people with disabilities. Then she said they still didn't have them in stock. I mean come on. Every other indoor playground we go to, there's the shoe covers.
Anyway, I still recommend this Wally's, but maybe have a conversation with the host setting expectations. They all seemed on the young side and didn't really have the experience of how to serve the customer. No fault of their own. I don't believe they were lazy, just not adequately trained and...
Read moreMy kids and I really love this place but the party department really let us down. It’s big, colorful and lots to do for kids. My 1 year old and 4 year old love it very much! But if you’d like more info about the party department, keep reading:
In January, we reserved a day for my youngest birthday. It was pretty last minute, which was great for availability. We booked it, and talking about what we really wanted to do with my partner, we realized something small at home would be better for us. I called and left SEVERAL voicemails to the Birthday department. I called the Henderson location (where we reserved it), I called the Cheyenne location. Nothing. So the day before the party, I get a call from the birthday department asking about decorations. I told them that I’ve been calling for the last 5 days at multiple times throughout the day to cancel the party. The lady’s voice changed with an attitude and said “well the only thing we can do is giving you a credit to come play at our locations.” I told her that was fine since we go often. Mind you, I NEVER complain! BUT THEN, I take my 2 kids to Henderson which is BFE for me, but it’s bigger. When I get there I told them about my credit and the very nice lady at the desk had no idea what I was talking about since it wasn’t on my file. She tried getting in contact with the manager(s) and no one was answering her. So I paid anyways since I wasn’t going to have my kids get excited for no reason. Also, it’s a great price for what you get. Leaving at the end of the day, the nice lady did tell me she got ahold of someone and they said they finally put my credit back on. I’m not one to complain, but I had the exact same problem with the party department in September when I wanted to ask a couple questions about my oldest’s birthday party that we had here. Something needs to change or someone.. Because kids parties are already stressful, and I plan them out and about a lot so I don’t have to carry half of the...
Read moreHenderson location** Most unorganized staff. This was our very first time going to Wally Wombats and we will NOT be back. First red flag, they tried to charge me for my TWO MONTH OLD DAUGHTER to go inside. I had to question them about this and the crew member was like “Oh ok… I’ll let her go in.” As if she was doing us a favor. We arrived at 5pm on a Friday. We anticipated a lot of guests being present but we didn’t mind that. However, when we tried to order pizza from the cafe we were told it was only grab and go food available. The crew member said she had a party to make pizzas for so she wouldn’t be making anything hot for anyone else. And that her kitchen closes at 7pm. She said by the time she made those 6 pizzas it would be after 7. First of all this is very inconsiderate to other guests. Have enough staff or equipment to still service other people who have spent their money to be in there. We didn’t eat before coming on purpose just so we could eat from the cafe. Anyway, about 30 minutes later we go back and ask if they have chicken fingers, fries etc. Magically…..they have those hot foods available. Why didn’t the last crew member just offer that before instead of lying to us because she wanted to be lazy!?? We got our food after waiting for more than the 25 minutes they said it would take. We had to go back and ask them for it. Half of it was sitting on the counter out in the open and getting cold and the other half we had to wait even longer to get. The chicken fingers and fries were cold and hard. Like overcooked hard. My 1 year old daughter couldn’t even chew it! (And how about they texted me the next day at 11am telling me my order was ready to pick up…smh) So stupid. We wasted $30 on food we had to essentially throw away because they were being lazy or racist. Because there was absolutely no reason for the treatment we received. ESPECIALLY as first...
