Because it was Sunday, I decided to indulge in some good food. We decided to come here for brunch based on me seeing a post on Instagram. I loved the cute atmosphere, decor etc. Very cute sense of style! Upon arrival, I was greeted by the waitress who told me to choose a seat. So I walked in and got comfy until my friend arrived , and enjoyed the view. Afterward, she came and offered is water, and gave us the menu. We waited about 20 mins for the waiter to arrive . Then roughly about an hour for our food to come. (We received our mimosas first.) Which I didn't mind, because I figured they were probably short staffed, etc. I assume that as I only saw one waitress and one waiter. I'm usually always patient and observant . Upon the hour, the waiter came and apologized for the wait and filled our glasses with more champagne "on the house." Finally, our food arrived ,which were the kalbi ribs, eggs , white rice , side order of bacon, and an order of banana bread French toast. Sadly, when we received the food it was absolutely cold! :( The ribs, rice , and french toast were cold to touch for both of us. The only things that were hot were the eggs and bacon. My guess is that it was sitting there for a while and was missed? I don't know, but it was disappointing. Especially as we were hangry at that point, lol The waiter asked if everything was okay, I wasn't going to say anything, but decided I would say something to possibly avoid it happening to someone else . He offered to take it back, and we said no. We just didn't finish eating it. ( It's hard to eat/fight with stiff cold ribs lol) Plus, I didn't want to wait another hour, lol. I'm usually fair and honest with my reviews, and I really wanted to enjoy the food. I'm a fair person, and I know there will be "off days" in any restaurant, and for that, I will go back for a...
Read moreOne of my bestfriends took me here for my birthday...and I've been wanting to go here for quite some time! I'm so glad I remembered it when she asked me where I wanted to go for lunch! This place was amazing. We went around close to 2pm and on a Thursday. It wasn't as busy so I'm glad! We both ordered the Lechon Kawali and bacon loaded ube potatoes and we shared a pandan pancake. Dude...their lechon kawaii and bacon loaded ube pancake was ridiculously amazing. You know it's good lechon kawali when its got THAT CRUNCH. The ube potato tasted so perfect with it. You got your protein & carbs haha. Usually I'd eat my kawali with rice so this was a nice change! Their pandan pancake was delicious. It wasn't so sweet and the flavor of the pandan was as if I was eating buko pandan itself in pancake format. I also ordered a lavender 💜 latte with coconut milk substitute. That hit the spot! Everything was delicious. Since it was my bday, our server suggested I try a mimosa & he recommended the watermelon flavored. His recommendation was spot on bc it was FRESH watermelon & it tasted like the perfect match! And I also got a bday drink 🥰 which was frkn delicious. Their service was awesome. It felt familiar for sure and it definitely has that Filipino hospitality vibe. I loved it. I highly recommend! It's also adorable af! Psshh.. get their ube funnel cake with coconut ice cream for dessert....you won't regret it! Except don't get the coconut ice cream if you're...
Read moreI read mixed reviews for this place but I came to see for myself and I was pleasantly surprised. We were greeted right away when we entered and were given the table away from the blowing air conditioner as requested. We had coffee and the refills came without us asking the server. I ordered morning blast (soju and sparkling wine with fresh mango juice)- it was light and refreshing and reminded me of a less heavy mimosa. The food choices include eggs and omelet, pancakes, rice dishes with protein typical of a Filipino or Asian breakfast, breakfast sandwich and burgers/sliders, mostly with Filipino and Asian twist. We ordered the adobo fried chicken sliders with fries. The chicken was lightly breaded and crunchy and the meat was tender. We asked for extra mayo on the side and was told that there’s an extra 50 cents charge. I think the extra charge is unnecessary because the layer on the bread was very thin and the extra Mayo added to the taste. Our other dish was the lechon kawali and bacon loaded ube potatoes. Although my companion liked the taste, I would have preferred a little less salt and less grease. I would certainly come back and try the other dishes on the menu. While the draw to the place is “Filipino”influenced brunch, I think it’s a fusion of Filipino and other...
