Staff was nice BUT… WORST movie experience in my life. I arrived at the time of the movie, taking 4 kids two who are 3 years old whom I purchased tickets for! I bought 5 tickets total. Thought I would have enough time to get popcorn and snacks since there was only one person ahead of me, but that line ended up taking 20 minutes. I go to scan our tickets, this took a few more minutes because the ticket scanner wasn’t working so she tells me just go ahead and use your phone tickets to find your seats and I think ok no problem. I walk into the theatre the movie had just started, and as I get to our isle there’s a man and 3 kids in our seats. He looked at me and I kindly said those are our seats and he just kept looking at me no response. Mind you the theatre is small there was only 4 seats left and remember I bought 5 seats. I was faced with either taking my 4 kids with all our snacks drinks popcorn and bags back out to call management for help and miss more of the movie or just suck it up and have the two toddlers share a seat. I thought to myself I’ll just take pictures ti show management which chairs we sat in. The kid next to me kept coughing every minute, movie his chair up and down, and THEN as he puts his drink down the straw flicks out and splashed all over my hair, my forehead, and my glasses that was disgusting! At that point I look at my kids and want to pack up our stuff and leave but they were all into the movie so again I suck it up and tell myself I’ll just complain to management. The movie finished I find the manager and of course this man with his kids stare as im speaking to the manager clearly aware looking at me with guilt they knew they were in seats that were not theirs. The manager said I’m sorry but our policy is you need to report this within 30 minutes of the movie starting, BUT as a the only adult with my young kids it was either Miss more of the movie or just suck it up. The manager offered me to watch another movie with the kids and I looked at the two 3 year olds and they were clearly done and ready to go home, I told him that’s not a solution that works for me. I would like a refund of 1 seat since we were only able to use 4, he said since I didn’t come within 30 minutes he could not refund me. I asked if he can offer a voucher for us to come back and watch a free movie and he said no that would only be ok if I stayed. Unfortunately not all policies fit different issues. This was so unfair and felt like a nightmare. Being new to the area I was told to stick to the theatre in Jess Ranch but driving by this theatre I thought well it looks nice let’s try it out and boy I was wrong! I will never...
Read moreSo I have a medicated powder I have to put in my drinks I made one before coming to theater I do this obviously all the time where ever I go. On the door it says no outside food or drinks. So I explained why I was bring my own drink and the lady I was talking to referred me to the manager who then told me she had to check with her GM she told me that GM said the rule is no outside food or drink I asked if I could speak with GM and she tells me that GM is currently busy on a call I said let him know I'm going to wait. Wouldn't you know 10 mins pass then 15. I then asked the Manger why wouldn't they accommodate situations like mine I was then asked what medicine is it and what is it for ? Ummm no! I do not have to explain my medical condition nor give the name and purpose for use are you kidding me this is a theater not a dam medical facility! I bought 4 tickets large popcorn large icee and coke, and I'm being told that I have to dispose my drink before going into the movie! Had I not promised my kids I'd be taking them to the movies something we not able to do often I would of asked for all my money back and left. I tossed my drink and told them how ridiculous this was and how it was handled and GM couldn't even come out and talk to me! And this is why I'm leaving this here. BTW i gave example of how the accommodations made for handicap is the same thing I was asking and no one was able to comprehend it. This was the worst theater it bothered me that I stayed but it was for one reason only ..my kids! But never again not here and I could escalate this and get my money back but I decided to leave this here for whom ever takes the time to...
Read moreThis is a nice Theater and is not nearly as crowded as other ones in the High Desert, however, their service has been hit or miss lately.
In my last couple of visits I noticed that the picture quality of their movies wasn't as clear as other Theater's, especially when I saw The Last Jedi. I know that their picture quality has been good before because I've seen really heavy CGI action films here before (Mad Max, Thor: Ragnorak, Justice League) and they looked gorgeous. So when we brought it to the managers attention, he came in and sat down with us to see for himself, and disagreed. Now, I am an avid moviegoer. I own a lot of 4k and Bluray films, I work with some high-end technology and one of my friends who was watching this with me tests and reviews projectors for a living... we know when we are looking at a blurry movie picture. In fact, other people in the audience agreed with us after the film was over that it was in poor quality. Anyone with eyes could tell you that the projector wasn't focused. But the manager, in a very condescending way, told us that it wasn't blurry and that he could refund us. He did refund us, but we had to stand and wait in the lobby of the theater for a while before he finally came out and insincerely apologized.
Sometimes the employees here are good, and other times they're just not doing their job. I can't tell you how many times I get my tickets and then just walk straight to my theater without getting my ticket ripped because there is no person at the podium.
I think if it wasn't for their Giant Screen auditorium, or the fact that they're close by, I would go to Jess...
