As a current student of Florida national Universityâs training center, I feel compelled to warn prospective students, specially those pursuing the Associates Degree in Nursing to think twice before enrolling. The current nursing program director has created a toxic environment that many students find disrespectful, and in some cases even discriminatory. Her treatment of students is not only unprofessional but has also driven away some of the most dedicated and talented professors and clinical instructors who simply donât want to deal with the hostile leadership. Unfortunately the administration has not shown any genuine concern for students well-being or academic success. Resources to help students succeed are severely lacking, barely meeting even the minimum standards in South Florida. Instead of fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment, the focus seems to be on control and intimidation. Many of us entered this program excited and motivated, only to be met with unnecessary obstacles and an administration that turns a blind eye to serious issues. I have been studying here for more than a year and today i felt disgusted, disrespected for the management of this one. Management made so many changes in our last semester, changes that were implemented from one day to the other after the semester started, and today we ask for explanations, for changes that work with us, and as a school the only answer was â no changesâ.
