We are extremely pleased with Hendrick Honda Hickory’s Service Department. Hector and his team went above and beyond to regain our trust and confidence. He arranged to pick up our vehicle from our residence relieving us of that burden. Hector maintained communication with us throughout the repair process. After this return visit, the air conditioning is cold and blowing continuously now instead of surging. Our lift gate works properly again, and the two key fobs work as they did before. The vehicle was clean, and looked like professionals worked on our CR-V. All repairs associated with our return visit were completed at no cost and for that we are especially grateful. We appreciate the response and hope that the organization’s leadership remains engaged. This is the kind of service we’d got used to and look forward to in the future at Hendrick Honda Hickory. //Original Review// I was disappointed with my last visit to Hendrick Honda’s Service Department. I had this vehicle serviced at this location a number of times over the last few years and each time my experience went as well as one could want. I feel like a lot of folks have a genuine distrust for dealerships when it comes to maintenance, but I feel like the expected knowledge and professionalism the company invests in would give me some peace of mind. And it did till this last visit. I brought our 2017 CR-V in because the A/C wasn’t blowing cold. The technician video explained and described everything clearly. I opted for ALL of the recommended services, even the ones not associated with the A/C issue because the vehicle was already in the shop; replaced engine air filter, cabin air filter, flush brake likes. I sent my assigned service representative an email after that and asked him to also inspect where the motor and transmission meet, because we had a transmission replaced at Hendrick in Hickory and on a previous visit another tech noticed a leak that he suggested we get checked each time we come in. I don’t think he checked his email as this request was a surprise to him. Still don’t think he checked his email because I sent my initial service complaint to him, but here we are on Google reviews now because he hasn’t reached out. Usually, a Hendrick rep calls a day or so later to see how everything went; that hasn’t happed yet either. Our CR-V A/C is colder. But it still surges. I’m not sure the issue was fully addressed. And upon arrival the service rep asked if I’d had problems with the key fob to which I told him we hadn’t. He said they swapped the battery and that the fob had to nearly touch the start button for it to work (didn’t offer to fix it). Okay, I thought I’ll look into later. Now neither of our key fobs work. When the service rep finally pulled our vehicle around he said that he wasn’t sure it was going to get cold, so they let it run for a while. That’s not the kind of talk/action that inspires confidence from customers. When I walked up to the car there I saw a new, noticeable, ding in the driver door. When I opened the vehicle there was an overbearing smell of fuel and oil, and the area the techs would have been working was generally dirty. Usually when I pick up a vehicle after maintenance from Hendrick it’s clean and looks like somebody cared for my vehicle while it was in their custody. I needed to stop on the way home and I attempted to use the lift gate. It doesn’t work now. We never had any issues with it. So, I dropped of our vehicle for A/C service, paid for extra services (because I wanted Hendrick to return me a solid maintained vic), and left with a broken lift gate, two inoperable fobs, weak but cold A/C, a new door ding, and a lot less confidence in the ability of folks at Hendrick Honda. Reluctantly looking for a new dealership to tend to our Honda needs. I don’t even have enough confidence in them to bring our 24 Pilot in for a recall fix that is due (received that in the mail the same day). Likely a direct reflection of...

In all the years I have been buying cars that fits My needs, never in My life have I ever been treated with such disrespect during a car buying experience. I was working with a sales person who understood My needs but apparently not Nathan Harris who is the General Sales manager. I recently went though some Financial hardships after Hurricane Helene and needed to trade out of My car and find a car that meets my needs and budget. My sales person was able to get Me way closer on trade and where i needed to be on a deal after multiple visits to get to that desired number while looking for the right model Honda. Today, after multiple attempts to get an update on incoming vehicles that fits those needs, I decided to drop by the dealership to take a look at the current car inventory and see if any cars would match the budget I have while looking at the prices in the windshield, minding My own business. I was then approached by Nathan Harris who then came out to the parking lot while im looking and said he wanted to “level” with me And accused me of “not being a serious car buyer.” Since I needed time to figure out what Model car I was most interested in as an educated car buyer. I then attempted to explain to Nathan Harris what My situation was and was told that “I don't wanna hear any excuses” from him as I explain why I wanted to shop local and exclusively at his dealership and why I did not accept a competitor offer. The manager then insisted I buy a car from him right then and there or “never come back again.” I told Nathan Harris that I no longer wanted to do business and that My family will never earn their business ever again due to his outrageous behavior. He then replied and said “good riddance, and don't ever come back here ever again” in public. I have never felt so publicly embarrassed in my entire life. Nathan Harris needs to be held accountable for his actions and definitely does not need to be in a leadership or management position. We will no longer do business with Hendrick Honda Hickory sales or...
Read moreI decided on a car online and spoke with Charles Harris over the phone who confirmed my interest rate after I had a hard pull on my credit report. Everything seemed fair to me and I even confirmed and booked an appointment pick up and sign for the car. I show up there only to be thrown at some poor girl who didn’t know the first thing about my case and had to scrounge up everything. After two hours of hanging out out of no where I start getting notifications on my phone that I had additional pulls to my credit and then I find out that they pulled more hard inquiries without my permission and now the stated interest rate was more than 3 percent higher than what I’d been told over the phone.
And of course they can’t get ahold of Charles. They listened back over my recorded phone calls and even acknowledged that I was right in my recollection but couldn’t give me the exact quoted interest rate on financing.
By then it was 2.5 hours later and I was beyond frustrated and stressed but as badly as I needed a car I wasn’t about to make a decision under duress. Either they intentionally lured me in with a false interest rate or they are woefully incompetent. All I got was an apology that this isn’t how they usually do business. I don’t know why they think that is supposed to make me feel better, but this is just more stress I didn’t need at an already incredibly stressful time in my life. Now I get to file disputes on my credit reports and have to start over at a time when i really don’t have the time or energy to spare. Nice to have this adding to what has already been an objectively terrible 3 months. I went in expecting to sign for a car and instead left crying in a Lyft after wasting an entire afternoon. So...
