Love this place. This is high-end store in a city with many high-end shops that is known for exclusive furniture. That said, the prices aren't prohibitive. The vendors provide unique, beautiful pieces for a reasonable value. And the people here are sweet.
When you first walk through the door at Boxwood, you're welcomed by the staff (not too much, for those of you who don't like to be accosted first thing), and then you're free to grab a little cup of (delicious) coffee, and wander the glittering rooms full of treasure. This is a tastefully curated and merchandised store. There are no giant Coca Cola signs, no hoarder vibe, no dust, no trash. Just beautiful things.
There is an abundance of furniture and lighting. I saw a lot of traditional, Asian, French, English, some MCM....and one lonely humble unmarked Arts & Crafts chair that I promptly scooped up. Also one unidentified deco vase. There was at least one Tiffany inspired lamp and one Prairie art glass overhead light fixture available. A&C or Mission items were very scarce. I would not be surprised to stumble upon a valuable Stickley here, however. There could be more opportunity to locate English A&C here rather than American. I've only been twice, take my initial impression for what it's worth. I'm still a newb and for all I know walked by several treasures.
The emphasis is on furniture, thankfully. But there are plenty of smaller decor items, jewelry, books - and if you go now, discounts can be had on holiday items. I'd come back just to put around the stacks of antiques and decor books. The amount of smaller items is dizzying and you've got to develop a good "focus" eye so you spot that one little thing (like I did) - but in no way does it crowd out the larger pieces. There is also plenty of art, both original and prints. Also fabric and lampshades to be had.
The customer service is on point. The folks here are kind and helpful. I had 2 of them running around trying to locate that A&C chair I saw previously that I had lost sight of, it was no problem for them at all even while helping others. They helped us load it to our truck even though it was light.
The reviews that complain about attitude - maybe we get what we give, eh? As they were ringing up my purchase, they mentioned how cranky that last customers were. Really? People working retail of any sort deserve respect, particularly on the holidays. Preserve your dignity by...
Read moreI ordered the Green Blossom Mirror over two months ago, and I’m still waiting. I’ve been told multiple times that it would ship in “1–2 days,” yet nothing has arrived. The most frustrating part? The item is still showing as in stock on your website. Why list it as available if you clearly can’t fulfill the order?
I've reached out to customer service several times, only to get vague updates and no real solution. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish.
If this is how you handle orders and customer communication, I won’t be purchasing from you again.
UPDATE!!!!!
Then out of nowhere, I get a full refund JUST TODAY without any explanation, call, or confirmation. I NEVER asked for a refund — I wanted the product I ordered. After waiting this long and being given the runaround, they just closed it out like it was nothing?
The lack of communication and accountability is honestly shocking. If I had known it was going to be like this, I would’ve canceled it months ago. I didn’t just lose time — I lost trust.
At this point, they should be sending me the mirror for free for all the wasted time, effort, and frustration. This was a terrible experience from...
Read moreI’m writing this not just as a frustrated customer, but as a husband who has watched his wife—an interior designer—be repeatedly misled and disrespected over the course of three months. She ordered a green cherry blossom mirror that was a key element in our living room design. It wasn’t just another decorative piece—it was central to the aesthetic she worked so hard to create for our home and portfolio. Since placing the order, she’s called every week for updates, only to be told the same empty promise: “It will ship in 2–3 days.” This went on for months. Then today, after all that wasted time, energy, and stress—you cancel the order and issue a refund, with no meaningful explanation, apology, or solution. This is not how a business should be run. I run my own company, and I would never treat customers this way. The lack of transparency, accountability, and basic respect is shocking. To us, this was more than a purchase—it was part of a project that reflected both professional and personal investment. Instead, we were left strung along, ignored, and ultimately discarded. We are utterly disappointed and will not be doing business with you again. — A very...
