High Point Rockers Baseball — Attraction in High Point

Been coming to Rockers since they opened in 2019. This past week was the first time we’ve been back this season. So much has changed about the experience over the years. But the two biggest we’ve notice were:

1. Everything from merch to concessions is ridiculously expensive now. I get inflation but the price rise this year has outpaced inflation. 35 bucks for a tee shirt, 10 bucks for a 16 oz white claw. Like this is well beyond what you would pay at the local single-A clubs. Get a grip, Rockers. You’re the Atlantic League. Feels like they are taking advantage of the community that has supported them for 5 years now.

2. The food has gone way down hill. Everything we had was terrible. No options beyond fried and frozen foods. Nothing fresh. Even the hot dogs were bad. Cold and processed food with no effort even put into warming it up. Our fries were completely underdone. 7 dollars+tax and tip for a styrofoam cup of coke that was mostly ice and I was asked to eve put my own lid on lmao. No more souvenir cups either.

At the Rockers prices you’d be better off going to Durham or Charlotte and watching guys that are one step away from the majors. Better yet just go to Winston or Greensboro and have better food and...

I reviewed last season....still a great facility in 2023 but prices for concessions and souvenirs are really too high!!!

And I also wonder what the dog policy is....I'm certain that the many "fru-fru" dogs I saw at Sunday's game were not service animals...it was especially gross to see a couple taking a "leak" on the areas near the concession stand and playgrounds.

And finally, I was not allowed to bring a sealed water bottle on an 84 degree afternoon into the stadium but saw numerous adults consuming numerous alcoholic...

Staff was rude and incompetent. Will-call first thought they gave all our tickets from an organization away to the first person who showed up. An hour later they realized they actually hadn't and had our tickets the entire time. The man scanning tickets was outright nasty to us. And this stadium now holds the record as the least handicap friendly sports stadium I've been to yet. The stadium itself was spotlessly clean and the food was more than decent. They earned those 2 stars. But I still feel generous...
