pOpshelf — Attraction in High Point

When the store originally opened, I would’ve given it five stars because of the cute decorating things they have and variety of items. However, I’ve had a couple customer service situations that have been unpleasant. Most recently I bought a six dollar ball for my small 23 lb dog and the next day it fell apart. When I went to return it with the packaging and the receipt intact, the sales associate said they would not do a refund. She was quite rude about it and said when she has her dog tear something up, she can’t return it to the store. I was trying to let her know it was not the dog’s fault but a defective toy for it to fall apart in just one day. I mentioned that if I had purchased it at Amazon or Walmart, they would not hesitate to refund it. She insisted it was my fault. I really think their returns policy is terrible with this chain. I’ll just stick to buying things on Amazon and Walmart. Most of the time when I visit this store, I go on Walmart.com and PopShelf stuff is higher than Walmart anyway. Don’t waste...

I went in to the popshelf in high point to get some balloons for my friends party. I wasn’t in a particular rush so me and my fiancé browsed around. I got to the register and asked the associate for some balloons. She was cleaning some spilled nail polish off the floor. She said okay. And continued to put a cloth on the swiffer. I laid my balloons on the counter and waited. She proceeded to try to mop up the spill. Another associate came out with paper towels and they both were cleaning up the mess. I stood there waiting and they proceeded to continue to clean. So i proceeded to leave. I went to Harris teeter and spent double the amount but i was okay with it because the customer service i received there was 5stars. The location in High Point is garbage. The manager is an absolute jerk. My kid knocked a toy car off the shelf and it caused a few others to drop. We literally came over to start cleaning up and she was so rude to us and acting as if we terrorized the store. She started yelling at us and asked us to leave. It’s a shame because the stuff for Halloween is so cute. You have lost my business for ever of these are the kind of people you hire for your store. You don’t have employees at Target complaining or yell at those customers when they throw shirts and make a mess of the aisles.
