I normally do not leave reviews but my encounter left me feeling so unsettled that I must. I have gotten take out from this restaurant numerous times, a couple of those occasions the food (specifically the shrimp) was subpar as if it had sat for hours. On another occurrence I received another type of overcooked steak on my requested hibachi filet and shrimp entree. I overlooked these mishaps because at times when the food is fresh it is great. On this instance a friend offered to order me food and bring it to me leaving out the extra sauces I prefer with my meal. I saved the meal for later to go to the restaurant and purchase the additional sauces to have with my food. When I get there a young man asks if I was there to pick up a purchase, I informed him I was there instead to "PURCHASE" the extra sauces obviously knowing I wouldn't get them for free from previous experience . The older woman (who I have seen there before) overhears our conversation and says I can not get the sauce, the young man that greeted me explains to her my intent to purchase the extra sauce and she follows with it isn't for sale. I explain that the extra sauce was not ordered by the friend who purchased the food, she then states it must be purchased with the order otherwise it isn't for sale and proceeds to ask for the name of my friend with a smug look on her face as if I am trying to steal the sauce! Exasperated and feeling insulted at this point, I leave and go to another restaurant not far from this one and purchase the sauce I needed for my meal without the hassle!! Read moreI have gone to US Sushi for many years now. The food is usually delicious, but during our most recent visit, the manager was very unprofessional. I met a couple of friends for lunch and we had 3 adults and 3 2-year-olds in our party. My friends were seated already when I arrived, and my daughter and I joined them. We got our drinks and were celebrating the other girls' birthday when the manager told us (not asked) that we needed to move to another table. Where we were seated was perfect - a booth with a wall on one end to contain the kids. She was more concerned about being able to seat more people for lunch without having to have anyone squeeze in next to our table. Meanwhile there are 8 other empty tables in the room of 12 tables. There was no reason to tell/ask us to move and it disturbed what was a nice little quiet birthday gathering. As good as the food is, I will reconsider ever going there again because the management doesn't understand basic dining room etiquette. I told her very calmly that it was unprofessional and rude to do what she was doing, and her attitude was "oh well." No apology from the manager or anything taken off the bill.
