Adventure Cove Mini Golf & Arcade — Attraction in Hilton Head Island

When I was a kid my parents and I spent Christmas at our condo in Sea Cloisters about a mile down follyfield near the beach. I was super excited to get my yearly bike beach cruiser rental and spend the week riding up and down the bike path which goes to adventure cove. I probably spent 50 days in there as a kid. I was 10-15 years old and we ended up moving to our condo so I was there ALOT. The game room was way bigger and stocked with everything including a huge climb and crawl tunnel with a ball pit. As a 32 year old soon to be engaged it was my finances first trip to visit my mom and I was determined to have us go-to every mini golf course. And this was my most excited stop. I had my two nieces from Alaska with me 11 and 10. We played mini golf and after went to the game room where I was absolutely shocked to learn it had been minimized to 1/4 if even the original size. I was just disappointed I heard New owners and ownership change over the years and they spent time and money developing the " landscape" and stuff, I wasn't impressed. The original version with just the 2 courses , driving range and game room was the best memories from my childhood. As a kid I'm sure they won't be disappointed playing mini golf. But there was no other arcade type place on the island and I wanted to spend a couple hours collecting pockets of tickets to turn in for prizes. Needless to say that didn't happen. They did have dipindot ice cream. We played our mini golf, had ice cream. And not sure if I ruined the night of my fiance by complaining and being disappointed. We want nothing to impress our loved ones by taking them to these kind of places and if you are a old customer like me. Just know it's nowhere close to as fun and exciting as it was 18 years ago. Fun expirence but unfortunately we left Adventure Cove on a bad note. The mini gulf was great! Very adventurous and kid friendly for all! The place looked a bit sketchy but I guess you'll get that anywhere. Adventure Cove is open from 10am to 10pm which is reasonable but 11pm would be a better time to close due to how long the mini gulf takes. After we played some mini gulf we went into the arcade to play a few games. My friend asked one of the workers (I will not describe specific identity of worker) if they would mind exchanging a $20 bill for some singles. The man that we asked was very rude about it. His exact words were "no! No more games!" My friend simply asked "what" because it was a bit loud in their so it was hard to hear. The man replied back "I said no! No more f*ing games!" We all stood their in shock apauled by what the worker had said! After he said those vile words we walked away trying to find our parents. Once we found her my friends mom confronted the man about the language he had used. He owned up to his mistake but still twisted some parts of the story. We walked away leaving the situation unhandled and on a horrible note. This may all seem like nothing but if you were really there you would of thought we were at a bar. There was no organization and was a very chaotic setting. You are better off going to Pirates Cove which is the same concept but hopefully more...

We had the best Birthday party here for my 7 year son. The staff was absolutely amazing and very accommodating and attentive to all of our guests. This facility is very clean and very well organized. They did everything and I actually got to play as well instead of running all over making sure pizzas were ordered and cakes were there, nope they did it all!!!!!! ☆☆☆☆☆ Nathan was working and I have to say he is very very professional and kind. He and Kelvin both were the most well natured, sweet and attentive young men that I have met in this type of venue in a very long time. Both of them were extremely patient with all of the children and very attentive to not just the children's needs but to the adults as well. Two amazing staff members! Wish I had employee's of their caliber working for me or hell I wish I could have just scooped them up and taken them with me! They just put a smile on my face to see such amazing young individuals really enjoying their job and making such an effort to make sure their clientele had such an amazing experience.
