I have lived in Hinesville basically my entire life. I remember when this theater was good once, however, tonight after seeing IT my entire opinion has been changed. I know that in a theater you’re going to have the one or two rude people, but this was basically the entirety of who was in theater 10 for IT. That was the most self absorbed and rude bunch of people I have ever had the displeasure of being around. We informed an employee that they were being rowdy, on their phones, ONE PERSON FACETIMING THE ENTIRE TIME, and even told the local sheriff deputy that was there about there being people under 17 in a rated R film. Absolutely nothing was done and quite frankly, I’m appalled at the lack of care has been shown. I went to see IT with two of my good friends expecting to be scared to my core, my immersion was completely ruined by those people around me. I highly recommend going to either another theater. The historic theaters of Jesup are 100% better, the Pooler theaters are immaculate, and pretty much any other theater other than in Hinesville Ga cares about their patrons. My friends spent $52 there expecting a nice evening out among friends and it was completely ruined.
I’d like to add to this, because I did go speak to the manager (which I do believe he responded to this). I spoke to the manager the day after I posted this review and just got to adding this He was VERY confrontational from the get go, I went in as a patron just trying to inform him of all that went on and how awful the experience was and his genuine response was “What do you want me to do about it?” He was very rude until later on in the conversation when he chilled tf out and assured me they check every 15 minutes to make sure everything is going okay. Which in all honesty, I don’t believe...
Read moreIt's a ghetto theater. Some of the speakers crack and pop. I had to tell the staff that not all the speakers were producing sound. One time they had to restart a movie because of technical issues. The curtains weren't always opened all the way. Climate control isn't great there and their concessions are overpriced.
I had a horrible experience tonight. There was a noisy toddler whose parents allowed her to run around the theater room and she would at times cry. They didn't seem to care too much since it was during the week day and I and my friend were the only other people there. I brought it to the attention of the staff and they handled it unprofessionally. A staff member told the people about the noise complaint then as he walked away from them he yelled towards my direction saying "problem solved!" and laughed as he walked out the door. He may have been friends with those people. I then went to speak to the manager who happens to be a part owner and he didn't seemed too concerned with my issue. I brought up that I frequent his movie theater often and that I do buy concessions every time and he then told me that I'm "making it into another issue." I was surprised he would say that because I was letting him know that I'm a loyal customer and I would like to continue coming here. I only request that they take my complain seriously.
Anyway, it's the only theater in Hinesville, GA. I don't "recommend" this place. It's low quality and they don't seem to care. I suggest going to Savannah or Pooler if you want a nicer theater experience. I probably won't be giving them my...
Read moreUp until today, we've had great experiences with Liberty Cinemas in Hinesville. As part of my husband's birthday wishes, we chose to go out and see an upcoming film titled Detroit. Since we have a 1 yr old daughter, we felt that we should wait until Sunday and go to the earliest showing to make sure that we were considerate of others while watching the movie. ( Bringing a child to the theatre can be a handful especially when they are young). Everything was fine for about 30 minutes into the movie. Mind you, like anyone year old there was some baby chatter and a couple of whimpers but no crying and no screaming. We were approached by a manager who asked that we take our daughter out of the theatre because of the "noise" that she was making. He stated that she was being disruptive to the other viewers. I volunteered to take my daughter out so my husband can watch the movie because it was his birthday. He was already upset and decided that either they allow all of us to watch the movie in peace or they refund our money back. Instead of our money being refunded we received free passes to the movie and some very smart allelic remarks from the manager. We were told "I didn't say that you guys have to leave. Just take the baby out. She can't be in there." Followed by "You chose to bring her here" and ending in "You took your daughter to an R-rated movie". Now maybe what he said is right.....but my family moves in a unit. You take us all or you get none of us. So from here on out Liberty Cinemas will no longer receive...
