I wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, my family will not be returning.
(I will explain my reasonings below…but if you read no further and decide to go…know that they offer a military discount, but will not advertise that nor ask if you are military. I only learned that info from another patrons’ review, as I was on here to make my own. Not a big deal, but would’ve at least slightly helped with one of my sore spots in the review - cost versus quantity given).
Smell: Right when we walked in we were smacked in the face with the smell of chemicals, which, I was able to shrug off & adapt, albeit initially off-putting.
Portions: I was given the smallest portion size I’ve ever received from an ice-cream shop. We all got 1 scoop sundaes & the ice-cream scoops didn’t even fill the whole cup nor did it extend over the brim. I get that sundaes also include whipped cream & syrup, so you want to make sure it all fits, but those toppings should accompany the ice-cream, not overpower it. The star should be the ice-cream…not the whipped cream. Our ice-cream choices were delicious, so we were very disappointed in the portions for what we paid. I maybe had 5 bites of actual ice-cream. Also, my description of the whipped cream may be misleading, sounding as though I had a heaping portion of toppings…negative.
Cost: The cost was outrageous, when comparing it to the portions we were given ($24 for 3 1-scoop sundaes…1 of which had 2 additional toppings). My son wanted 3 toppings on his sundae (it was tiny to begin with, as mentioned above), but prior to making it, she informed me that it only came with 1-topping, so each additional would be $1.69 (little did I know, it would be a tiny tiny bit). We agreed to the charge, but were then very disappointed when we realized that meant $1.69 for about 15 M&Ms & another $1.69 for a tablespoon of chocolate sprinkles. I appreciated the forewarning, but it was an unreasonable charge for what she gave us.
Seating: The icing on my birthday cake flavored ice-cream was that we were told they are not allowing indoor dining at this time (despite a ton of tables set up) and we could only take our order to-go. The place was empty & she was cleaning, despite not closing for another 2hrs, so it seemed more like she just didn’t want to clean again, from our perspective. We ended up sitting outside on the sidewalk.
It was a special outing for my son, so to ensure his treat wasn’t ruined, I took everything with a smile, and just decided I’d leave a review afterwards…but no, we...
Read moreWe heard from others and reading reviews to try this place out versus another ice cream parlor. We got there and the female working was assisting one family and another was in front of us. There are lots of options and we like how it shows what's included in the crazy wild names (got my kids super excited). The only REALLY downfall to the experience was the extreme long wait. My kids were getting very impatient and so was I. The first family ordered a shake and she had to get on the phone to see how to make it. We waited for over 20 mins before she got to us(yeah I counted). I mean she was courteous, very slow. I just think that they would really benefit to have more than one person working to speed things along and not loose customers, especially first time ones. Overall a really nice and clean establishment and most flavors are for kids. We got the Chocolate, Superman and Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate. All were great except the sea salt it wasnt that tasty, but not...
Read moreThis place is honestly just absurd.
As others have pointed out all you smell is the nail salon next door.
Five employees, no line, nobody greeted me or even made eye contact with me. Another guy came in I told him to go ahead, a girl helped him. When I was ready none of the other four employees jumped in to serve me. They all ignored me and when the one girl was done with the other guy she came over to help me. So I guess she's the only one qualified to scoop ice cream 🤷
No prices on the menu. Got one small single scoop of vanilla with rainbow sprinkles and one brownie sundae. $20. TWENTY DOLLARS. What even is that?!
Arguably the worst thing....NO HIGH CHAIRS. So I had to hold my one year old, while trying to eat my ice cream and help my two year old with his. Not a very small child friendly place, especially with the fumes from the nail salon.
100/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND...
