The Hingham Bathing Beach is very pretty and it has some shady areas to sit. In addition, there are also more picnic tables than before. The one negative thing this year is the work that has been ongoing since at least March for the boating launch. When we first got there on Saturday they were working on the boat launch and the noise was terrible. It did seem to be a little less annoying after awhile. There was no work on the launch on Sunday and it was much better, but the whole mess is very disappointing. This work certainly distracts from the beauty of the bathing beach. We look forward to next year when all this boat launch work will hopefully...

This is a beautiful, quiet, and quaint spot to sit by the water and enjoy a picnic lunch or a sunset snack, or even a picnic dinner. There are many couples and families enjoying the views of this well maintained community beach. The beach also seems to be popular with people on paddle boards and in kayaks off in the distance. A highly recommended spot to enjoy the scenery without big crowds. There is parking for guests. A separate parking area is for residents. The entrance to the resident lot is marked. So, simply go to the appropriate...

Need to watch the tides. For about 4 hours each day [2 hours either side of high tide] the tide is high enough for good swimming. Swimmers quickly learn to watch and calculate the tides of Boston Harbor. Life Guards are there to open the bathhouse and watch the marked swimming area. In the deep water is a wooden float. This pretty, small beach within easy walking distance of town. Parking is still free. A good bicycle rack is available. Dogs are not allowed on the beach in the summer, and trash is “please carry out what...

Just like the name suggests, this is a great place to sunbathe. It wouldn’t be my first choice for swimming because the water is murky and muddy and there is no shade on the beach itself. Things worth going for - free parking (some of which is shaded), there is a grassy area with grills, a nice bathroom, and the onsite restaurant has a great menu with reasonable prices!

I have small children and was referred to Bathing Beach because of the calm waters and it was exactly that! I did not have to worry when the kids wanted to go out on the water. What I loved most was that it wasn’t crowded, it’s free parking onsite, the restrooms are clean, and there is also a snack bar if you get hungry or thirsty.

I never been down on the beach part but enjoy sitting at the park area. Beautiful looking out at the harbor and a wonderful breezes sitting under the trees and just relaxing. They did build a summer food place in the adjacent parking lot as well if you're interested in that.
