The Hingham Bathing Beach is very pretty and it has some shady areas to sit. In addition, there are also more picnic tables than before. The one negative thing this year is the work that has been ongoing since at least March for the boating launch. When we first got there on Saturday they were working on the boat launch and the noise was terrible. It did seem to be a little less annoying after awhile. There was no work on the launch on Sunday and it was much better, but the whole mess is very disappointing. This work certainly distracts from the beauty of the bathing beach. Swimmers quickly learn to watch and calculate the tides of Boston Harbor. Life Guards are there to open the bathhouse and watch the marked swimming area. In the deep water is a wooden float.
