I never stop here because the traffic in this area is awful, and it’s really hard to make the turn in, but I tried it out when I was in the area today.
The place was filled with people reading papers and chatting, or just enjoying the harbor view!
The parking options directly in front are very slim, and, as mentioned, good luck turning into the lot, but if you make it, you will be greeted by quality coffee and MEM Tea (locally sourced).
I don’t normally drink coffee, but I tried the Cardamom Vanilla Latte and it was yummy!
I also had an egg and cheese. The egg was a patty, rather than an over easy or otherwise obviously single-cracked egg, so not sure if it was poured from a container or an actual egg, which was a minus for me. Also, as you can see, the patty was tiny and didn’t come close to covering the surface of the muffin.
I was also dissatisfied that it didn’t come on a bagel! I didn’t realize bagel OR muffin were the options, I just glanced and saw “bagel,” and no one asked. Sadness.
The muffin was tasty, and they had these roasted tomatos that I added to my egg and it was phenomenal!
I did enjoy the taste of the macarons, but the wafers weren’t as thick and fluffy as I would like (I imagine these are frozen and thawed, which makes them as good as the ones you’d get at Whole Foods in those deep freezers, but not as good as fresh baked macarons from a bakery).
They also had several unique cooler drinks! I’ve never seen these beverages before, and they were pretty tasty!
Overall, excellent experience and I...
Read moreI recently tried this coffee shop for the first time and it was not a pleasant visit. I do enjoy the location, right on the water. However, when you walk in the main door the line forms on the opposite side of the room. You have to awkwardly shuffle your way through the crowd of other customers waiting in line. This is not a major problem but it definitely is tight inside when there is a rush. A group of my friends and I all tried the Nitro Cold Brew. All of us agreed that each of our coffees were not good, the brew tasted burnt. Some of my other friends got a standard ice coffee and said theirs were good. This is definitely redeeming and good to know that there is a pleasant coffee available at this location. The most concerning part of this experience is when I mentioned that my coffee was burned on their short online survey that was emailed directly to me. Redeye Roasters response was, “You are so wrong.” I really did not appreciate that comment especially when others with different coffees from the same brew agree with me. This customer service just rubbed me the wrong way. I wasn’t trying to hurt the baristas feelings by letting them know I wasn’t pleased with my coffee, I was only giving genuine feedback they asked...
Read moreHadn’t been here for a while so I expected to thoroughly enjoy an iced coffee from here as I always had before. I got to the “order here” counter and ordered a large iced coffee with medium cream as I always had before. Two minutes later, my order taker placed a very dark, very small iced something on the counter and announced “half and half!” Having ordered a large, medium light iced coffee, I didn’t think this was my order. I was wrong and when I said “this is a large?” Was told that they have only one size and this was it. It was smaller than a Dunkin’s small and I was charged almost $5.00 for it. Please see the photo attached, comparing it to an IPhone. Add to that that not only do they cream your coffee for you, you have to go looking for sweeteners, which they keep behind the counter. I was told that this practice saves the staff from having to continuously clean the area where people are adjusting their coffees to their liking. Convenient for the staff but not for their customers. Unfortunately, I won’t be back and I used to really...
