Viaduct Park Dog Park — Attraction in Hoboken

The place is very clean, and well kept. That shouldn't be too hard, because it is new. But, it is still notable. It is on the smaller side, but not the smallest I've seen in the area. It's astroturf. So be careful with dogs who haven't run on that surface before, because it can rub the pads of thier feet raw if they are avid runners, or have never been on it. My dog had a great time. So far, it seems there are mostly responsible dog owners who go (police thier own dogs when they may be playing too aggressively with another, pick up after thier dogs, etc.). Usually a very nice place to hang out with fellow dog lovers. Not the best when it is overrun with uptight and seemingly condescending xolo owners who don't know how to control their dogs. Their seems to be a thought that unneutered dogs are a problem yet, it is usually the neutered dogs that are aggressive toward the unneutered pups. 🤷

A little better understanding of dog park etiquette would be fantastic when entering or leaving the park and not letting other dogs through the gate but overall 85% of our visits are...
