Believe Ballroom Dance Studios Hoboken — Local services in Hoboken

We felt catfished by this Believe Ballroom. On google it looks like they have a location in jersey city but they do not so we went to hoboken and they rent out a TINY studio space there. They also do not choreograph your dance ahead of time. They make it up on the spot. To us, it was very unprofessional. Our instructor didn’t know or even have our song even though we told them ahead of time. Then they were making up and teaching us our dance on the spot, which is not at all what we expected. Also, when we showed up for our first lesson, they said we were double booked, so we needed to re-schedule. You also do not have standing weekly appointments with the choreographers. You need to text them each week to coordinate a time and they only work mondays, tuesdays, and fridays. It was all so unorganized and very hard for us to coordinate this while we were also trying to plan our wedding. Our choreographer cancelled on us twice then didn’t text us to schedule an appointment for over a month. I finally reached out to schedule a lesson with him, and that was cancelled at the last minute as well. We wound up meeting with another choreographer and having to do double lessons to squeeze in enough practice before we had to leave for our wedding. We only got to do 6 classes even though we had purchased 10. So, I would NOT recommend them. Also, they made us leave them a 5 star review before we booked with them in order to get a discount. The best part that Believe offers absolutely no charge intro consultation, compair to other studios that charge you $70 and teach you absolutely nothing on this class, just taking. Secondary Believe can customize a package based on your needs and choreography and you can go with any amount of lessons. They also have highest level instructors, super professional and patient. Even with our busy schedules they always were able to find comfortable time for lessons for us.
