Olde Shoe Factory Antique Mall — Attraction in Hocking Township

Just read the review of someone who was not told about the extra credit card use fee. Well, at least they let him return the item so that he could drop this fee. This place needs to be reported to some agency as they did NOT tell me nor is there a sign that they DO NOT take returns. i was not happy about this at all as the item i had purchased did not fit my space; so i was stuck with it. Be warned this business DOES NOT TAKE RETURNS, nor did they tell me that there was an up-charge to use credit card. Although they did give me some type of "discount." Took forever for the musty smell to dissipate. i can't really recommend this business although i had found some cute glass items from there in the past. If you do shop there just beware that they you must REALLY WANT THE ITEM and use cash!! i was able to make lemonade out of lemons as i took white chalk paint and made the piece look shabby chic....so i do like it better now. The promoting of guns right on the front door was a turn off. Really don’t want to go back to the Wild Wild West with everyone carrying a gun. Unfortunately this establishment encouraged it. Big sign behind the counter states that “ they reserve the right to refuse service to whomever they choose” . When I asked the lady in charge about that sign, she said they need that sign for when people get out of control and they need to ask them to leave. How many people get belligerent in an antique mall ?? Enough to have to put up a sign? No other antique mall I have ever been in has a sign like that. I felt that her answer was a lie. They have so many places to find amazing treasures. They have a small section of vintage clothing in one of their booths and it’s like going to a store and buying clothes but they are cheap and vintage ! There are also many other places with vintage clothes through out the store. Vintage records are in many booths and they have lots of selections I got Santana’s first album for $5.00. There are lots of booths with bins full of hard to find albums and each booth has something different for everyone. The people who work there are the nicest and have always been friendly and helpful I love going here...
